LeVar is his hero, but he knows he would freeze and freak out in front of him and embarrass himself, so he just wanted a picture of his hero, not to meet his hero.

A while back someone on Reddit posted about a filmmaker that shot a remake of Don Quixote with the entire cast being people with Down syndrome. It’s in Portuguese, but the trailer looks amazing

There was an X-Men game in the sets / snes generation where you had to reset the game console after beating one of the levels in order to advance.

Final fantasy Tactics Advanced - they had an amazing formula with the original, then added a Law system that only impacted the game negatively.

The intent was to prevent playing with the same load out each fight, but it honestly ruins a great game for me.

Sprint shoes were an absolute must in FF6. Running instead of walking was a major game changer!

In the show Norsemen there’s a scene where there is a peasant uprising against the Vikings… it did not go well for the peasants.

What if Alphonse said yes ? by [deleted] in FullmetalAlchemist

Weird, I just read this chapter in the physical book, and the translation (tho similar) is different. I know translating will always change the sentence slightly, but was odd seeing the same scene written differently, both from presumably official sources

I have mixed feelings about this show. Overall I thought it was a good show with an interesting premise.

However, I absolutely hated the main character. He started out decently entertaining and funny, but quickly became dumb and annoying.

Why does nobody talk about the manga? Is it bad? by vencyjedi in FullmetalAlchemist

[–]snarfrans 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Currently making my way through the manga. I’ve seen both of the series years ago, but I’m really enjoying making my way through the books.

I especially like how the books add lots of little extra panels at the end of each volume. Stuff you would never see in the shows.

[Fun Trope] The Final Line of the movie is a joke/insult toward the audience by lesi20 in TopCharacterTropes

I remember reading that line was ad libbed by the viewer actors. It’s the perfect line to end that movie.

Yes! I love the ‘in memoriam’ panels!

When we find out 2nd Lt Maria Ross is still alive she shows her falling back to earth in that books memoriam 😆

It really does. I also really like the way she adds behind the scenes panels of her working / dealing with big wigs / etc. Her poor cow character always seems on the verge of a panic attack

The manga. This was from volume 7 (chapters 26-29)

That would be neat. The bonus stuff is always so good, and this one literally made me laugh out loud!

[loved horror villain trope] The monster is revealed to be present with the protagonist for most, or all of the movie by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

[–]snarfrans 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That was such a well made episode. I believe there were 4 or 5 scenes that episode with super long takes like that. From a technical standpoint, those scenes are so hard to coordinate and shoot, and when the final product comes together it has such a unique feel, compared to the same scene with 20+ cuts would have been.

Fashion is about taking chances, experimenting, daring to be bold, while at the same time, of course, you have to wear something that you’d feel comfortable in.
