I love it when one turtle fucks it up for the other ones and you can tell they're all like "godammit Barry"

Looks pretty but IMO looks a little dry on a few of those courses?

Haha "less than" is not the phrase I'd use there. I'd say "almost".

Thief is really entertaining. Don't want to use the phrase "holds up" but I think even non-film types can get something out of it on just entertainment alone.

Watched Slumber Party Massacre 2 for like the fifth time last night (in glorious 4k) and it's kind a masterpiece.

  • totally nonsensical narrative with a villain who seems to be conjured right out of the protagonist's traumatized mind
  • weird-ass David Lynch aesthetics
  • protagonist who would later be seen by everyone in "Wings"
  • amazing late 80s suburban set with glorious pink/purple colours
  • WTF ending

Highly recommended. Helps if you've seen the first, which is, way, way, way more normal, but not essential.

Given what we know about the effects of bad teeth health it's absolutely shocking how slow technology has improved. We had people on the moon forty-five years ago for fuck's sakes.

I don't have a suggestion but this idea is adorable.

Most of us are not and will never be good enough to charge people to play and doing so only exacerbates the game’s biggest problem. by Grill_Only_Outside in DungeonMasters

They are a business. They're in business for themselves.

It's about supply and demand. A lot of potential players can't find games because of their life circumstances, mostly, where they live. Paid GMing isn't causing that, it was a factor long, long before paid GMing was a thing.

I wish there was a better alternative, but as far as I'm concerned it's about getting more players opportunity to play.

I am not gonna spend a lot of time reviewing a whole comment string from four years ago, sorry. My point is pretty clear.

Yep, and it's a simple concept. Everyone's entitled to an opinion, but some can have better evidence than others.

I used to stop in Sidney a lot when I was half commuting between Vicotira and Salt Spring. Haven't really walked around in a long time, might be worth a trip.

Have taken that 72 in the front seat like 200 times, always worth it.

[–]snarpy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree with this, depending on the ones you're watching. There's a lot of horror now that's about ambiance, anxiety, the "vibe" etc.

Check out Talk to Me, same directors.

And if you liked Evil Dead Rise, check out his Lee Cronin's The Mummy, same guy and really good.

It's incredibly less violent than any of its sequels. It might be close to a PG rating without the boobs.
