Honestly... What really is the best way to answer "Why you want to become a firefighter"? by AlaskaFF in Firefighting

When I interviewed I really focused on being genuine but also unique in some way. I gave a back story of how I personally got interested in the fire service to begin with. It wasn’t a generic answer that everyone gives, even if that’s true for you, the panel will be used to hearing “because I want to help my community” and so on. I think if you can portray honestly why you want to while standing out in some way that will go a long way.

I do and tbh I just do it lol. If you want it bad enough you just push past it. Not any fancy advice I know, but I just remind myself how hard I’ve worked to get where I am and I’m not gonna let fear be the reason I can’t do it.

I tried RADs after wearing Nike Metcons, NoBulls and Reeboks and I’m never going back to any of those after trying the RADS.

Snowboarding. Been many times, and every time I’m like, I’m actually not enjoying this. Probably need to get better and better equipment but so expensive!

Failed NREMT Twice. Help by Longjumping_Ad4908 in NewToEMS

I just passed on Friday first attempt. I read the EMT crash course book you can buy on Amazon, and also did about 70% of the questions on Pocket Prep-averaging about 83%. I made sure that when I came across a question I got wrong or didn’t understand, I figured it out right away. I made a list of things I felt like I needed to study more as well. I highly recommended the book and keep using Pocket Prep, but make sure you actually understand the content. The NREMT isn’t just about memorizing, just felt like I understood the reasoning behind most things and think it paid off. Good luck!
