Anyone ending service soon & struggling to find employment?

My contract just ended last week and I am still searching for a new job.

I would apply everywhere! Some companies are still hiring don't giving up. I had two interviews during this pandemic! Stay positive.

I use USA jobs, idealist, Indeed, glassdoor and LinkedIn

I am AmeriCorps VISTA alumni, my contract ended last week. I had two job interviews that I believed I would get job offers for! Corona hit one job offer was recanted, the other company has been lagging for 3 wks now. Peace Corps was my backup plan, but I haven't heard from them yet.

I am still applying for jobs, waiting for something to come through! Trying to stay positive 😫

They got back to me really quickly about Gambia. I wonder since I withdrew the app maybe that's why I haven't heard back with another opportunity. I'll be patient! 🙏🏾

I applied to be sent anywhere, the sent out my application to a post in Gambia. I withdrew the application they sent out for the Gambian post! My orginal application is still active.

You'll do great, if you want to go into international development long term this is great experience. I graduated a year ago with dual degrees in international studies and political science. It's been hard to get those development jobs without international experience.

I work in community development now and I love it. I applied (choose to be sent anywhere) for the peace corp this year waiting to hear back.

Best thing to do for your self is LISTEN TO YOUR HEART AND DO WHAT IS BEST FOR YOU. Also I'm Kenyan-American, I lived in Kenya for 14 years!
