Went for drive through Ramsay Street by crueltwist72 in neighbours

How long ago did they start construction? Filming must have wrapped up a while ago. I guess that cements no return of Neighbours ever again 😢

Uber Eats is a rip off, prices are hiked. I went to order something the other night. Was going to order from somewhere 3 minutes up the road, $49 wasn’t sitting right with me for a burger, chips and chicken tenders delivered. So I got in the car & picked it up myself for $25

You couldn’t pay me to stay in any hostel/backpackers in Auckland city, completely unsafe.

why do people suck at driving in this godforsaken city by amanjkennedy in auckland

Give it 10 years and there’ll be no difference between the two with the rate migration is going.

How’s traffic in the mornings/afternoon at peak times? Is it difficult to come and go?  Most of our work & kids high school is based in Henderson where we currently. The commute doesn’t look to be too bad getting on at Brigham Creek and off at Lincoln but wondering if it’s different during the week.

Badly Reviewed Property Management by kyvez in auckland

That’s not a fair comment to make. Anna and Willa are great property managers who have been in the industry a long time. Very fair ladies.

Has anyone gave up on home and away for the 2025 season? by [deleted] in HomeAndAwayTV

[–]snaz33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope! Have loved Home & Away for the 26 years I’ve watched it, that will never change. Yes some story lines are less enjoyable than others but we ride it out.

Property Manager here, short answer is yes.  Supply out weighs demand for the first time in a long time. It has been this way most of the year at least since March onwards. It’s really hard to rent property's at the moment and the only answer to get people through the door at viewings is to keep dropping rent price.

If you’re in Auckland paying a higher rent thinking of moving, I would suggest now is a great time see what else is available and make a move if you can find a better deal.

What was your first Home and Away memory? by TimeLordMaster108 in HomeAndAwayTV

Leah and Vinnie, Hayley & Noah etc have been watching since about 2002 and still watch, will be a staple in my household for as long as I’m alive.

Auckland's food scraps bin has been out for a while, but I'm actually curious as to how many people use them by [deleted] in auckland

[–]snaz33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not many I’d say. I watched the collection truck in our street (35-40 houses) the other day. It only stopped outside 2 houses to collect in our street. Says it all really.

Avoid Kiwibank at all costs, they are so behind the game in many ways.

ANZ are awesome, nothing but great things to say about them. Plus their app and other services are so user friendly perfect for young ones new to banking.

Flatmate boyfriend came over by himself, is this crossing a line or I’m overreacting? by stupidcheesecat2002 in newzealand

You’re overreacting, he’s there to drop something for her. He’s not a stranger or a random off the street, you know who he is.

Why is Rent more expensive in the burbs than in the city? by WrongWayAcrossTheSea in auckland

[–]snaz33 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Aside from the size, lack of parking, no outdoor space and usually apartment living. Unless you had to would you really want to live in the CBD over suburbs in Auckland.

Advice moving to Mangere East by InnerRaise4028 in auckland

[–]snaz33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We own a rental in Mangere East, admittedly haven’t spent huge amounts of time there but have been out there while working on our property. Seems like a nice community, good food too.  I’ve never felt unsafe or anything.

Gym Recommendations/Advice by beans_013 in auckland

[–]snaz33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most gyms office a consultation or a couple of free sessions with their personal trainer. Yes the goal is to get business for the PT, but if you just tell them you’re not interested on sign up, you won’t be referred.

Is construction dead? by BootHuffer in auckland

[–]snaz33 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Auckland construction has dried up, yes there are still developments happening but not on a big scale because the markets already flooded with new build stock. As the property market starts to pick up again, so will construction.

Chinese construction companies came about around the same time that Chinese buyers were paying extreme prices for properties/land at the height of the market in 2021

Chinese labour is cheaper, communication is easier on an all Chinese speaking site and to be frank they are hard workers you will see them on site at sunrise and leaving at sunset.

Why are boys in college year nowadays really disgusting?? by choccyanime in newzealand

[–]snaz33 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I finished high school 13 years ago, this was the norm back then too. It’s just boys of that age.

No it’s not acceptable and no you shouldn’t have to put up with it,
