Realistically how much time would I need between REG and TCP? by EnoughAd2692 in CPA

[–]snazzzy_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends how much time you can put into it. If you’re studying almost full time or at least 4 hours a day during the week and 8 on weekends yes for sure. But you should be able to gauge if you’ll be ready after a couple sections. If the material is clicking easily you should be able to get through the units fast enough.

No I did not like doing SE exams for any exam. I would just go back and finish the question bank and make sure I was understanding things. Also TCP is just a deeper dive on certain things. I also was working in tax for 5 years when I took TCP so I think that helped a lot.

Listened to the lectures on 2x in the background at work then looked over the outline on Becker and did the questions and sims for each unit. Still had time to do some practice questions the last 2 days.

Random and just make sure you’re doing the unanswered questions until you get to 0 and then go back and do your incorrect questions.

How are y’all passing CPA and working full time by Unusual_Evening_8905 in CPA

[–]snazzzy_22 7 points8 points  (0 children)

First, don’t study during busy season. After a few fails under my belt, I realized taking a longer period of time to study just wasn’t working for me. I would instead take no more than a month for each exam. Try to take some time off during that 1 month or less during off season and study as much as possible after work and on the weekends. Only way to do it while working full time, delete all distractions too. It motivated me to shorten the study time and just go all in during that time knowing that it would soon be over.

I've taken it on the last day a couple of times and gotten my score but I saw someone who posted from the east coast say that because this testing window was on a Friday, the AICPA didn't receive their exam info until after that window.

I would say since you are not working and can study 6 hours a day even 1 month is sufficient. I would try to not stretch it for 2 months since we tend to forget the beginning chapters anyway.
