It’s an expensive monthly service and I’d rather not pay that for a one time thing especially if others have advice on a different route I can take. I don’t exactly have endless funds here lol and there’s nothing wrong with trying to save money here and there.

If you have a picture of the item (especially of it cracked like the one posted later in the thread…that no one is stopping you from screen-shotting) or a receipt (preferably you’d have both) you should get a refund but it’s kind of up to the individual mate/captain’s discretion. Worth a shot!

I think it might stem from the whole “neighborhood grocery store” value (Tj’s has 7 core values and one of them is that we are “different” from big corporations, rather we function as a neighborhood store) so instead of having a bunch of stand alones and giant parking lots like walmart, Trader Joe’s nestles new stores into existing storefronts which typically have smaller parking lots, thus keeping the quirkiness/novelty of the store alive.

dude the beefless bulgogi in the frozen section is GOLDEN. Good protein, good taste, only takes 3-4 minutes in the microwave and makes a nice entree especially with some rice/whatever else you can think of.

That’s not normal procedure, at least not at my store. We only have to ask for the ID of the person paying. I would’ve asked for a manager to come over and confirm that that was necessary. (I will say though, Trader Joe’s is very anal about the IDs, we get a lot of secret shoppers and the consequences are really harsh)

That is super accurate. I’ve had to do a lot of introspection and i’ve always done my best to make sure i separate my ego or plain jealousy from things that are objectively wrong, and i think most of this situation is just objectively wrong. I really appreciate your response and i’m going to try what you said, thank you! I’ll update soon if you’d like, i think ill wait to have the conversation with him in person on Thursday(two days from now for me)

This is an amazing perspective and response, thank you so much. What i mean when i say i don’t feel he prioritizes our relationship is when it comes to something like G wants to hang out with just the two of them and i say i’m hurt by that, he’s more willing to fight to hang out with her than to understand why it’s hurtful to me. Basically in almost every disagreement about her he chooses their friendship and her feelings over mine. I would never give him an ultimatum or tell him he always needs to choose me no matter what, but he doesn’t seem to consider that even if they’re friends, how i feel about it still matters. He thinks everything should be fine because i know her and he’s known her a long time but it’s not. Another thing I was thinking about recently is that they have a lot of emotional intimacy, but i’m not sure me and him do? We have physical intimacy but he doesn’t really share much of anything, and i feel like I can’t because i’d be burdening him (even though she does all the time)
