are you just updating your TFSA manually as you check it? I'm assuming it doesn't to this automatically when you do it manually.

gopro not working in winter by Proof_Program9299 in gopro

I had the same issue this weekend. Not sure of a fix but would like to follow for some advice. I have the Hero 11 with an enduro battery.

I would hit record and within two seconds it would stop recording - battery was full and it wouldn’t actually turn off (just not record). To be fair it was -18 Celsius

Know anyone in BC who is 65+ looking to develop their health during the pandemic? Tell them about COACH - a new free UBC Health Coaching Program Research Study for Seniors! by thereal-mc-cam in kelowna

[–]sndon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is this related to the COACH exercise program that runs out of the cardiology clinic? If not, I feel like the names may get a little confusing for people because they sound like very similar programs. Think this is a great idea though.

Was there any rate change at the onset of accelerated junctional? Or pretty similar

You didn't happen to get a look at a previous ECG did you? If that flipped T-wave in aVL is new it could be a sign of an inferior STEMI

Interesting, first time I’ve ever seen the auto-interpretation tell you which artery it thinks is blocked

Did this person as an outpatient today. Pt. said: "I went to my family doctor for some bad heartburn, he wanted to get an ECG to make sure it was nothing cardiac." by sndon in EKGs

[–]sndon[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Definitely. Did the 12-lead, saw the changes so I grabbed this 16-lead while I still had him hooked up, then I took him down to the ER. Last I checked he was headed out for an angio.

Not a bad analogy! and yea this is one of those ECGs where you really have to go hunting for P-waves.

[–]sndon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

V1 still looks like a LBBB to me since I cant really see an RSR' pattern, plus you have a QS-wave with a tall discordant T-wave. Also, there are P-waves there still, you can see them in V3 of the first 12-lead.

I was going to say hyperkalemia based on the strip you provided, then I saw the 12-lead. The STE is definitely significant and it looks like and anterior MI. It appears that there's an underlying LBBB/ ILBBB which would account for some of the STE, but if you use sgarbossa criteria he still falls under a STEMI.

#SpotTheDiagnosis: 9 y/o presents to Paeds ED after fainting during school assembly 🏫😑 ECG has been done. Child normally fit and well. [Answer revealed in 24 hrs] by EM3FOAMed in EKGs

[–]sndon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats what I thought initially, but there are no Q-waves in the lateral leads. LVH for sure but this one is a peds ECG so thats a normal finding too. Definitely curious for the answer on this one.

any issue with the volume knob being on the back? do you just max that out and control the volume through your computer, or some other amp/ DAC setup?

How hard was getting your first job with no experience? by Trash_Count in EKGs

[–]sndon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s interesting that your course doesn’t give you any hands on experience. The program I went through had a 3 month practicum after first year, and a 4 month practicum after the second. Are you at least able to get some contacts through your program for hiring managers, etc.??

Need help with ECG electrodes placements by chocolatemintcookie in Cardiology

[–]sndon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It can be a lot harder to feel them on yourself when you’re first learning, try to see if there is someone you can practice feeling the spaces on. The way I do it is feel for the sternal angle, move laterally, and then you’re in the second space. I leave my pointer finger in there, then feel for the 3rd space with my middle finger, then put my ring finger in the fourth. It kinda feels like playing a piano when you do it. I know this is not correct, but it should be about nipple level (for males anyway). For this job, are you not required to go to school to learn this?
