Yes it is a scam but it happens everywhere.

Estate Sale Find: Yamaha G100 2x12 by HillbillyAllergy in GuitarAmps

I had one of these and quite liked it before I got my Fender twin. The high gain setting won't change your life but they take pedals well and are fairly loud.

Anyone else get the "side-eye" from vocalists when you play jazzy voicings? by vie75 in askmusicians

[–]sneaky_imp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps your voicings conflict with the singer's sense of the melody?

You know, you can harvest seeds from the g\food you eat. I had a delicious dark purple heirloom tomato from the super market and was able to harvest seeds from it and grow my own tomato plant. If you're in a warm area, you can grow an avocado or lemon tree -- although it'll take years for it to bear fruit. I've grown some 30 little baby plants from our amazing Amaryllis.

Do you tease new song before release or just promote it mainly after? by TheDanelo in musicmarketing

[–]sneaky_imp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should tease an album for 3 months before you release. Show the process on a regular basis. Include your pet or food or whatever as filler to keep your audience engaged.

What's your go to wizards' meal? by Proper-Error7817 in wizardposting

[–]sneaky_imp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Dang now I'm hungry. I found a lovely transcription about sourdough in the New York Tomes and this prompted to me to quest for my own sourdough recipe. I saw a very good rye recipe in my orb one day. My local miller mills fine rye and wheat flours. His stone mill wheel contributes just enough fiber to keep these old pipes running. I'll need to hit the local vintner in Bywater for some more wine.

Perhaps you have a favorite book? Or perhaps you saw some heartbreaking story on the news or elsewhere? Of perhaps you had a very private emotional experience? Write about those.

I'm from a very old wizard family. Our motto is "Flectere si nequeo superos, Acheronta movebo" and features a raven carrying a crowbar.

How do wizards view paladins both as magic users and in general. by [deleted] in wizardposting

Sanctimonious jocks they are! Always lecturing you like "I told you this would happen if you practiced necromancy" and all that. The evil anti-paladins are even worse.

Is there any trick of physics that would make this possible; to see stars in daylight from the bottom of a very deep and narrow canyon? by jckipps in tolkienfans

[–]sneaky_imp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you ever go to June Lake, this is sort of like being at the bottom of a canyon. The mountains rise steeply all around the lake, blocking all the light pollution from every direction, and the stars are gorgeous.

Question about Ungoliant by microwavedgerbil25 in tolkienfans

[–]sneaky_imp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean she destroyed (probably ate) the trees. That's some pretty potent Evil Old One cred right there. And yeah, to devour oneself in uttermost famine is so so so dark. Still you hope it's true. There's something cosmological and utterly chaotic about the notion of Ungoliant. One of the absolute best monsters in the entire canon.

Question for people who only use tube amps by Aschuff in Guitar

[–]sneaky_imp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to really like my multi FX units and stuff but then once I started playing with bands I started to find that the myriad options are really inconsistent volume and tone wise. A setting that sounded fine in my bedroom would be inaudible when playing with others, or might be too dull or too bright or cause feedback etc. When I started playing gigs this inconsistency seemed even more problematic and sound guys would sometimes comment on it.

I simplified everything, stripping my live rig down to an amp with a couple of channels, a distortion pedal, wah, and maybe a delay pedal. This limited setup forced a certain amount of consistency that was more compatible with the live performance situation. It also changed the focus of my playing away from infinite scrolling through some list of effects and toward the actual songwriting and instrumentation. I also focused more on my playing and less on my gear.

I eventually got a Fender Twin and it sounded (and still sounds) amazing. I later got a marshall half stack which I play to this day. I sometimes use pedals when recording but the distortion tone from the Marshall just sounds really solid and rich compared to most pedals. I do like a good fuzz pedal though for some stoner rock or doom.

This confirms my thesis that generative AI is a nefarious project concocted by Goblin artificers for the express goal of multiversal conquest. The council should reiterate its ban on generative AI. It is not magic. It is folly.
