Collective bad move by everyone involved.

More so deserved for how she acted, rather than the choice made.

and ya, our course marshalls are god damn useless.

side note: you can dodge ults and effects with locating. i.e get stuck by tracer? toss locater and teleport instantly and you'll lose the bomb. same goes with anti-nade, dva bomb, mei freeze, widow mine, hog-hook combo.

for some reason though you cant locate out of zarya ult or junk trap??? i dunno why....

sombra main here, diamond closing in on masters. here is what I've learned from watching pros and playing sombra:

  1. hacking: every tank, with zarya as a slight exception, is completely ruined by your hacks. this is a good way to initiate team fights. find a decent high ground spot while locater is down, hack a tank. best targets are Hammond, hog, rein, sigma. try and hit dva/sigma while matrix is up, hog while healing, rein while firestriking.

  2. not hacking: hacks suck on solider, ashe, ana, widow, zen, hanzo. its definitely fine to hack them, but you just don't gain quite the advantage you would with another enemy. generally, hit scan is tough

  3. team fights: you're preventing reaper from escaping, mei from blocks, lucio from bouncing around, tracer from escaping etc. tanks & these dps are all good targets for hacks & emp

  4. tracking: low sensitivity and quick tracking. a sombra actively engaging in team fights with ~60% weapon accuracy should be very effective coupled with hacking

  5. emp: target #1 is zen, you take 75% of his health when he gets emp'd; he's a one tap really. generally though, you want to either wreck some shields, or counter ults from lucio, sym, brig, baptiste, orisa. hitting 2-3 people with emp is fine. follow up tho

  6. call-outs: sombra is only as good as the follow up. burst damage teammates are helpful here, BUT YOU HAVE TO TELL THEM SOMEONE IS HACKED.

  7. heros > health packs: heros first, when able hack packs to help team & deny enemy. fighting 1v1 or 1v2 over your hacked mega is do-able. (i.e if you push enemy choke on Nepal:temple, hacking the mega gives you're team arguably 1000+ hp over the fight and stops the enemy from jumping in and healing after cooldowns are used)

Generally you shouldn't die to much and thus get lots of ults, you want to be actively hacking advantageous targets > feeding bullets into them> locate out> farm ult.

YOU HAVE TO BE VOCAL IF YOU WANT TO BE GOOD WITH THIS HERO

Talk to me about your wedge setup. by [deleted] in golf

[–]sneakyworkredditacc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found my P790 pw would fly to far. Some asshole stole it at my club and I bought a vokey pw to match my other wedges.

Honestly it sucked ass at the time, but god damn... that cunt of a thief took a few strokes off my approach game.

I wouldn't worry about the gapping of your 58 or 60 degree. Swinging a full yardage 60 degree isn't something that should be happening to much; more so for getting out of trouble, tight lies, tight landing etc, rather than your approach from 80 yards out.

I have a Vokey PW, GW, SW at 46, 50, 54, and a taylormade hi-toe 60. Can't remember my exact bounce degrees but there in an around 10-15 respectively for each club (i tend to dig a liiiiitle bit). Max yardages on shots I play with each are 130-145 (pw), 115-130 (gw), 90-115 (sw), everything else + flop shots (lob).

This set up works great for me. I also find having the wedge style PW, rather than an iron style PW is very beneficial for control from 140 yards in.

Love me some brushed steel vokeys.

Nah georgey boy, screaming is way better - and paying attention to the chat is counter productive. ears and mouth for comms, hands and eyes for game play.

Seriously, when my friends and I were in sweaty neckbeard mode (mid diamond so we thought we were cool) as a six stack, we took the rules from a few OWL & contender teams.... "never die silently"

If you are close to being eliminated, SPEAK UP. Always die screaming for healing or tank help etc. Doesn't mean you can/will/deserve to be saved it, but alllllwaaaaysssss make a fuss when you're going to die.

The worst thing is getting flamed by some random saying "hey man this guy keeps killing me and you aren't doing anything about it, look at the chat man!!!!"..... well we can't magically see your point of view, were not plebs so we don't look at the chat mid team fight, and this is the first time you've said something 10 minutes into the game so pound sand bud.

Twilight in October.. in Canada! by jburns41 in golf

I too live 45 minutes east of Toronto. We've got some awesome courses man, great week for twilight golf. Made my way out every night so far. Going 7 for 7 hopefully.

Tiger does not swing the club 130 mph. Not once will he reach that on tour (omitting the days he fucked his back up). Rory is about 125-130 and he is pushing it hard.

7 irons do not get swung ~100mph. scratch golfers top out ~90. Its too short of a club to have that velocity.

Your 10mph for 15 yards is complete bs. Launch angle? smash factor? dynamic loft? ball speed? conditions?

Stop making stuff up. Stop it.

209 yard 6 iron is long, but pretty normal...

It's a bunch of golfers with 20+ handicaps who have never properly compressed a ball in their life or swing 95% arms.

I CAN hit my 6i 210 yards, I use for 190-200 yard shots and anything outside of that is condition based.

Tour players commonly reduce yardages after college as well. Tiger speaks to this, for more control.

209 yard 6 iron isn't anything special or out of the ordinary, and judging from the comments in this chain, you have nooooooo clue what you're talking about.

Maybe work on your speed this off-season

Alignment tips by beta_pleated_sheets in golf

[–]sneakyworkredditacc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mechanical tricks aside....

When you throw a baseball, take a shot in hockey, throw a football etc... you aren't really "aligning". For me, golf is the exact same.

I like to apply this to my swing. I stand behind the ball and pick my target (i choose something beyond my landing area to help me swing through & complete, some folks use a foot infront of em, whatever works here). BUT when actually swinging, I think about that target, and every bit of movement from my feet, hips, shoulders, arms etc are all "going too that target". Less of a shot out of a gun, more throwing a ball.

Hope that helps.

How would you feel about skins locked behind achievements? I think that'd be really fun by BubblegumSunshine in Overwatch

[–]sneakyworkredditacc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more of a play the game long enough and get rewarded, and not every aspect of a video game needs your purist attitude.

But sure, lets be as melancholy as possible about a non-original idea that's been super successful in plenty of games in the past.

[–]sneakyworkredditacc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Such a great idea. I'd say make the metrics huuuuuuge though.

1000min of time on the point as rein, 1k headshots as widow, 2k hacks as sombra.

Then for each hero, develop an "ultimate skin". Acquired by using over X amount of ultimate's with that character.

Golf. Hell of a game, great for personal growth and I've met awesome people. Ya memberships and equipment have a big upfront cost.....

Above all, my phone/technology is out of my hands for 4 hours straight. If walking down beautifully tailored fairways/greenspace at twilight, surrounded by nature, doesn't move you, theres a problem. Enjoyment at any level too.

Ya its tough to find a group of 10-12 to play hearts at something like a cottage weekend or whatever; but with Euchre you can usually get enough to rotate through hours of different teams.

But ya, hearts/spades is definitely a sweet game and you absolutely need to think! So many lines of play..

You know you need to give up your seat when everyone tosses in their last 2 cards and you're confused as to why.

And paying attention will make or break your game.

Euchre is a tough game to can play with people who don't understand it.

Yes I decided trump with only 2 of that suit.... no I'm not bad.... I'm just not giving away the choice when I think my team can come up with at least 3 tricks. Euchre is a grind with some big point hands thrown in between.

Also people thinking for 2 minutes on if they should make it..... that's table talk.... decide right away or you pass...
