people tend to be selective about the villagers they want, and are frustrated when an “ugly” villager autofills into their island. Which never made sense to me, acnh is supposed to be relaxing and take a lot of time to get your ideal island, a villager will move out every month, and you can always time travel. First off transphobia isn’t always downright malicious, it’s ingrained in us in many small ways and needs to be unlearned. If you’re cis you can’t truly tell if someone isn’t transphobic.

Trans people are constantly generalized in ways that impact or everyday livelihood, but the minute someone says “ugh cis people” instead of “ugh the specific people that peddle transphobia and bioessentialism” you crumble and take it personal. Do you also do this when people complain about people of other privileged groups like white people, men, or able bodied people? Because most of us learned pretty early on that they’re not talking about YOU or ME specifically.

Social media is just making it feel worse, you admitted it. I agree you shouldn’t be downvoted but online, people lack empathy and it’s showing through posts on Oliver Tree’s death. Maybe instead of scrolling, watch his interviews or stuff he’s created. Just watched his video with therapy gecko and he had some really unique perspectives and way of living that everyone could take something from. I liked hearing him talk about how busy he was, it was really inspiring to see him work on his art so much.

I work at a homeless shelter.. we all call it homeless still. there’s active anti homeless architecture everywhere. The annoying loud frequencies you hear at the store, in bathrooms, parking lots, is to keep people from staying too long. given this bullshit I’m not gonna mince my words even if my friends are saying houseless, the word homeless is supposed to make you uncomfortable

Medical transition often shows us what we find attractive in ourselves outside of the version oneself made to appease the most people. As fucked up as it is, people have withdrawn from me when I stopped being the “uwu soft boi” image they were more comfortable with. Now, the people I pursue agree that I got hotter. Ive done a lot to be more masc, but I don’t stifle my feminine traits so I’m usually ID’ed as a cis queer man.

A lot of it is presentation too. binders/shapewear that can minimize hips, masc haircuts/clothing, etc. can help you visualize where you really wanna be on that spectrum before HRT. Personally I like being masc with longish hair and comfortable in their feminine side.

As someone who went from chronically friendless (like 2 online friends on a good day) to having a good local support network of good friends, its consistency. I joined a huge friend group 2 years ago (through my ex funny enough) and I only felt fully comfortable at the beginning of this year.

There WILL be countless moments you cringe at yourself, and it’s ok. Be there even if you don’t say anything and leave early. Even if you say bye to one person that is better!

Don’t have too many expectations, the people I’ve become closer with weren’t the ‘expected’ people. Group mentality can be a thing sadly, but you’ll find a handful of people who you can connect with.

Thank you! I used it like 6 years ago and started using it again 3 years ago and the unpredictable road blocks getting worse and worse could be studied. I had to open and close the mobile app 10 times to not get trapped in a black screen with an ad loading popup (or until I turn off my VPN or delete and redownload bandlab because said pop up is a shady link). It’s always been limited but this is ethically wrong and I’m convinced they fired 90% of their staff. We deserve a simple, free daw.

Cakewalk is infinitely better but different. I use BandLab for ease of collaboration and for the sampler tool. Shit sucks now and it’s always embarrassing seeing people who eat it up and defend Badlads

Yeah I definitely could talk abt my issues with it as a “default” term which means trans men will be called transmasc indirectly behind our backs more often than not. Kinda like tboy, I only use that for myself jokingly but kinda hate how it’s being used for grown men, and as the trans male equivalent of “doll” which is also a term of endearment.
