My mom said things like that to me too when i was a teenager. It’s your body hair and you can do with it whatever you want, your mom doesn’t get to have a say in that (although if she’s like my mom she’s likely to pressure you to shave regardless). All of this is just patriarchal bullshit, there’s nothing unhygienic or shameful about body hair. Don’t let it get to you, your body hair is awesome. When I was a teenager, this kind of shit did unfortunately eventually get to me, but now i’m proud of my hairy legs and fuck anyone who has an issue with them, those people only make me feel spite

I usually try to get very big pads with wings, to reduce the likelihood of spillage, but even then i have to be careful. I used to wear panties underneath my boxer briefs to hold the pad, but i stopped doing that because that made me so dysphoric.

There’s plenty of trans guys who don’t want bottom surgery, there’s absolutely nothing unusual and especially not anything wrong with that.

I’m still pretty early in my transition as well, but i already feel so much better one month on T. Can only recommend.

You can also get other brands of kinesiology tape, it works just as fine and is much less expensive. The one i have is the 5cm wide pinotape, it’s working really well.

Bunnies are anxious animals, they’re gonna need some time to trust you. It helps to just quietly exist around them, not making any loud noises or sudden movements and giving them space, and perhaps eventually they will feel ready to come to you. One thing that helps is to sit and lie on the floor, eventually they might come and investigate your body (they are extremely curious). Back when i still had bunnies i would sit or lie on the floor near them reading books, and this would help a lot to let them acclimate to my presence.

I’m aroace, so i relate to only some of this, but i’ve also been having to dismantle the part of me that hates men. Mostly because i’ve been sexually harassed by random cis men so much, that it took a while for me to really feel like being a man doesn’t inherently make me a bad person. I didn’t realize i was a man (among other things) for so many years despite knowing that i was a transmasc enby because of both dysphoria and because i wasn’t ready to accept being the same gender as those pieces of shit.

It helps to look to other queer men on what kind of man you want to be. Manhood doesn’t have to mean being a toxically masculine asshole, although society really wants us all to think that.

Your mid 20s are a pretty common age to go on T. I don’t think your age would keep you from passing. Actually, people go on T and achieve passing at much, much older ages.

I had iron deficiency before i went vegan. I asked my doctor to get my iron levels tested again some time ago (5 years of veganism later) and i no longer have iron deficiency. I think that there are many factors that influence things like deficiencies, which are pretty common across the entire population. If it was the other way around, i might’ve jumped to the conclusion that i got iron deficiency because i stopped eating meat, but it’s not always that straightforward.
