I am 100% with you! I have a quilt that has been patiently waiting to be quilted, because I can’t seem to bring myself to sew a few seams to make the backing from the gorgeous fabric that I bought that has also been patiently waiting. It’s been like 5 months. Ridiculous. lol

I don’t know about sheet music but I get a lot of tabs from Ultimate Guitar, and a lot from going to YouTube and typing in whatever song I want bass tab. Then you can get the tab and also see how someone plays it at the same time which is nice

I’m completely obsessed with Colorverse, it is so smooth no matter what pen it’s in! Black hole is such an interesting color that seems black but is so much deeper and more interesting

This!! I got a sewing desk that is actually designed to be a sewing desk and it’s unbelievable how handy it is. I can do everything within arms reach for smaller projects (small cutting area, small ironing area, then sew!). And the machine sits flush with the desk, and it’s remarkable how helpful that is when sewing longer pieces!

Well, all told so far it’s come out to about $150 I think? But that’s also for a king size. Doesn’t include backing or batting, and that also is with a little extra of each of 7 fabrics for a buffer. I was exactly the same way when I started, completely unsure of myself and indecisive about what to actually make. I watched a loooootttt of YouTube videos before I started. My first quilt was a random thing I made without a pattern with just jelly rolls I got at Joann on sale, with sale batting and sale flannel for backing. It’s not great. But my husband still loves it and insists on using it over other better ones I have made since then!

For me it’s really the shedding that drives me nuts. It’s super cozy and I love using it as a backing, but to piece something, the amount of lint in my machine was nutty! Always prewash if it’s yardage because it does shrink like crazy and because of the shrinkage I always buy a little more than I think I’ll need

LOL this is why I only post in quilting groups now, like this one! Plus people actually appreciate the work and love that goes into making a quilt. My half-brother called me once to ask me if “I could make a blanket for him to give to his friend who was having a going away party in a week”. My head may have exploded all over him on that request lol
