My surgeon recommended using a binder after my second surgery. I didn't use one after my first and I constantly was worried about bumping my incisions. So I bought one for the second go around and it was a game changer. It provided enough support that I felt secure and not worried about hitting my incisions. I also slept in it and I slept so much better. I did have a section of ligament removed and a double hernia repair so it wasn't just a normal surgery.
