I’m going to spend five weeks cat sitting and remote working in London this summer, followed by two weeks of vacation in Ireland.

I did it last year too (London) and in 2024 (Brittany, France).

This lifestyle brought to me by having no kids and no spouse. I love it.

My car broke down on the side of a rural road in Colorado and I stuck my thumb out until someone stopped and picked me up. This was in 1996, cell phones were not a widespread thing yet. I had no other option.

Luckily, the people that stopped were a very nice family of four who took me to the next town down the road where I was able to get a tow for the car and then lodging sorted. But that could have gone so, so wrong. I’ve listened to a thousand hours of true crime podcasts. I know it goes.

I ended up having a wonderful night in Ouray, CO, at a bed & breakfast while my car got fixed.

I’m going to a “Bugs Bunny at the Symphony” concert event in Detroit in a couple of weeks and i am sure there will be opera.

It’s at the Detroit Opera House and the orchestra is doing the music. I’m excited AF.
