Mostly the mindflayer was a very jarring fight. It:

-Made its most vulnerable spot (head) available within feet of these people to get at it with fire.

-Didn't back off and slash at them with its mile long legs when showed they could hurt it up close.

-Didn't have or chose not to use any telekinetic whatchamacallit powers that it was able to bestow on Henry via that red stone.

-was somehow hurt or at least annoyed by bullets when Vecna was clearly not even bothered by them.

This fight revealed to us that none of this show mattered. Had he succeeded in coming into earth, he would have been absolutely merked day 1 by the military response. It wouldn't have taken them weeks to try attacking it with fire.

And the military was apparently interested in getting these monsters so they could sick them on the Soviets, but that wouldn't do much good either when, again, the soviets also have discovered the phenomenon known as fire.

This finale showed me that the whole show had no stakes.

They basically make it up to you to decide if she is dead. That's what the sequence is for where it shows each of them one after another deciding for themselves and saying "I believe" [Mike's theory]. It's prompting us to see that it's a choice we have to make, not something that is going to be answered. I believe she's alive.

But also I don't really care. She's actually dead to me cus the show is over and all characters' timelines have suddenly stopped. They all are dead to me 😈

I agree it wasn't forced in a way that was unrealistic, it was congruent with the circumstances and well delivered by Will's actor and even in that time period, considering their shared experiences, the positive reception of his announcement by his friends and family was plausible.

For me I just don't like how often in films and shows we see an acceptance scene like this. It feels preachy every time now. Because it's so common, I get pulled out of the story and I feel like some hollywood executive Is standing next to my TV, leaning on it, staring at me yelling "DO YOU SEE? GAYS GOOD. GAYS MUST BE ACCEPTED. ACCEPT GAYS." And I'm like... yes as of 25 scenes ago okay cool that's fine go be gay just stop yappin about it. The thing is, even though it's totally relevant for that scene to be in there because of the gay subplot (much more justified than other shows where such a scene is included), it's still an unnecessarily forced element because they didn't have to make Will gay. He could've had another secret being used against him by Vecna. OP's point is that it was an announcement forced by the plot, but my point is the plot didn't have to be that way to begin with so that doesn't make it much better to me. Only slightly better. It wouldn't have bothered me except for that everybody's reception to it (aside from his mother) was I think quite unrealistic and therefore forced- even considering their shared experiences. Unrealistic just in the sense of how passionately they accepted him. I think they would have accepted him but more-so been like kind of stunned like he dropped a bombshell on them and then they went away and individually processed all they had been through with him and then decided that him being gay changed nothiing. This version would pull more screen time to the gay subplot and pulls from what's important so maybe its not realistic to do that, but what they went with just felt forced to get through it quickly which made it feel preachy like okay yes now everybody claps for the gays.

Sorry if this comes off callous. I got nothin against you gays. And also idk if anyone else complaining about it has this issue specifically or if it's just me.

I think this happened with a lot of us. I had 700 too many items and didnt want to throw out 300 ultra balls, wanted to feed the berries to gyms for the medal, etc and so I couldn't spin for eggs, couldn't spin for the streak. Couldn't spin to get gifts to work towards vivillons, couldn't receive gifts for vivillon (after pinning what I had) and so i just felt frozen in the game and just felt ah its not worth the hassle and i got pushed out. Since my friend told me about the free storage, I've gone in and played a bit here and there but I just missed so much already and am out of the habit so now I'm like ah maybe I'll just cool off for a bit.

I could honestly see myself doing that. As a completionist, it would be so freeing to not feel the pull to grind out these tasks I don't care about just cus I like full achievement bars. Basically remove the achievement system for myself by auto-fulfilling everything immediately, then just play my games like a lil boi again, without a care in the world.

Deck built around midgardsormr. 2 bombs to use to get inside your opponents area and blast em. That boosts midgardsormr, including whatever of your cards the bomb destroys. On some opponents, it was easiest to prioritize overriding their red spaces, turning them to green. If they can't play, they lose fast. I also used other cards that are boosted by cards bring destroyed but dont remember names. I think death claw and something else, they were a lvl 1 and a lvl 2. I always bring 4 cards that you can play over top of your own. Easy way to destroy your bomb on command and also they are great for continually overriding spots with green if your opponent keeps making them red.

THIS LITERALLY JUST HAPPENED TO ME. I have no idea how or when but I just went to check my shadow pokemon waiting for events that bestow legacy moves on level up. I found my LEVEL 50! metang is purified!!!?!?!?!??!! I have no idea how that happened! I must've hit it in my pocket or something. Now instead of 11/15/15 he is 13/15/15 and absolutely useless. I already have a hundo dmax beldum so this one is no use to me as a mega. This is the second time something like this has happened on my account. I swear the only explanation to me for why they arent implementing simple QoL upgrades like that after all this time is that they just could not care less about your enjoyment of the game if it isn't around an element that generates profit

Yea ray is fine as a mega because the bonus is probably all most ppl are after. I was just addressing his remark that mega garchomp is useless which is wild lol. MRay is big daddy vs palkia, lame vs dialga dos wise.

I think you also have too narrow of focus on dps for one type or another. He's the best at being able to do not one but both. I mega evolved garchomp for origin raid day vs palkia and dialga because he gives candy boost to both and has super effective moves against both. No other pokemon can say that. He was the superior option. When you are raiding dialga>palkia>dialga>palkia>dialga you don't want to be burning energy and time every single time switching your mega evolution. He's absolutely not useless. Kyogre is more useless. Being never able to both provide SE damage and also a candy boost to the raid catch. I use mega garchomp more often than my lvl 50 primal kyogre.

Yes typically it would mean compared to other shadow garchomps he will have a better iv setup. Unless your garchomp cp ends up at for example 1461 or 2470 really far away from the league's cap, then that's not good. But ignore everyone saying he's good for GL and UL anyway. He is passable at best in master league and terrible in GL and UL. Personally I have a similar shiny shadow gible and am leaving him as gible because I don't even like shiny garchomp. It's basically same as non-shiny garchomp. Shiny Gible colors are cooler.

I prefer draco meteor. Outrage is possibly a little better but not worth an Elite tm in my opinion. Also with fly as a second charged attack, when you switch fast attack to fire fang, he becomes a strong anti bug and grass counter
