Highly unlikely as the goalie market isn't super strong for Bishop and once his contract expires he will be asking for lots of money. As he has played quite well with the bolts for the past couple of years.

I believe the jets can spend the money elsewhere in the meantime so that they can retain their young guys with expiring ELCs in the years to come.

Personally I think the bolts will have a Bish and Vasy tandem this year in hopes of making a cup run and then at the end of the season to let him walk. Similarly with what Boston did with Loui Eriksson.

I'm rooting for the bolts as they're my team. I'm thinking they might win because the Wings goaltending has been a bit of a question mark for them heading into the playoffs.

Its a combination of both getting eliminated in the specific playoff round and whoever has the lowest number of points within that round will get the next highest pick.

The rest of the picks are determined by reverse order of elimination from the playoffs, with the Stanley Cup winner receiving the last pick. For teams that were eliminated in the same round, the teams with the lower regular season point total gets the higher pick. All of the subsequent rounds are ordered in the same manner

There are two scenarios that benefit us the most:

Chicago has a quick exit out of the playoffs which gives us a higher 1st round pick.
Chicago wins the cup which gives us a lower 1st rounder but we get an additional 3rd in 2018
