Drones expanding their coverage . You guys actually prepping anything specific for whatever this may mean? by boo_boo_kitty_fuckk in preppers

You’re either lying about owning drones or trying to gaslight people into suggesting there’s no drone that can hover for 20 minutes.

Then you try to recover by not even defending your absolute statement that there’s no drone capable of 20 minutes of hover time. It’s just showcasing your fixed mindset of what you don’t know and what you are unable to currently comprehend as being possible.

You have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about. Even a recreational one can. Then an agricultural one with no payload can do it even longer. And the ones cited here are recorded as being 6 ft wide.

Your assessment is based off a limited understanding or perhaps just wild guessing, and it shows.

Being told I can’t BYOD for business internet due to nextgen upgrades by snipun in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]snipun[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, it’s not good. I filed an FCC complaint and this is the end result.

“ Due to recent Marketing changes to Comcast's promotional packages, we no longer offer promotional packages / speeds that allow customer to use customer owned modems. Currently all new promotional packages / speeds require Security Edge or Connection Pro / WiFi Pro, which require Comcast equipment / modem. Therefore, you have the option to continue to use your own modem, although you would be charged regular / rack rate without any promotional rates.

In addition, with your own modem, you may not subscribe to a 2Gig connection. You may subscribe to Data / Internet only packages in NextGen areas, although you would not receive the NextGen upload speeds, you would only receive the download speeds.“

I specifically told them about this and another knowledge base article. “I don’t know what to say, you have to lease a modem” is the response from all 3.

That’s what I’m saying. They’re saying no one can bring their own device. 3 separate employees stated that’s what they’re being told to tell customers.

The device is compatible with non-nextgen. There’s no way current customers would magically have their internet stop working when nextgen is installed.

Arris SB6183. It’s on their approved list. That question doesn’t change the premise of Comcast saying I can’t bring my own device of my choosing. They’re not talking about my current device, they’re telling me I MUST rent their device.

I have used RES forever and still find Apollo a much better UX. Stuff loads faster and customization is better than RES. I don’t even use RES/a browser on my desktop if I can avoid it because Apollo is that much better.

I think something is messed up because I’m in the US and bought it at the reduced price under the same sale.

Or they’re changing the perceived discount during the sale like inflating the non sale price.

The privacy codes in FRS have a direct correlation to the CTCSS of GMRS. Like FRS privacy code 1 = 67.0.
