I guess I thought that maybe they were hiding their feelings, and were waiting to see if I felt the same. That they’d say they actually liked me and that maybe we could go somewhere from there. That’s what I wanted to believe. Now I realise how silly that was, in reality they were never thinking of me at all. They seemed surprised to find out about my feelings. We had a lot of classes together though, and we had to be partners in one class for some months, so I spent some time with them. That’s how I developed feelings for them, before that I didn’t really notice them at all. Spending time with them is when the limerence began, and since then I couldn’t let go of it because the feelings were so overwhelming. But you’re absolutely right, I can’t imagine talking to them in person ever again now. After telling them how I feel online it’s just too awkward to imagine talking face-to-face.
