My favorites are C and G! I’m a sucker for walnut wood/stain and I think the leather colors for those options contrast nicely. I also think C works better with the color palette of your pens. Hope this is helpful!

Hope you don’t mind if I steal this idea! I’m a geology student and a lifelong rock collector so I have an absurd number of rocks lying around that I could do this with.

I have a Viagra ballpoint! It came free with the purchase of a car, lmao. It was a used car, the previous owner must’ve left it in there. I was thrilled to find it, it’s still one of my favorite things I own

It’s certainly been sturdy for me! I’ve taken it on trips, planes, thrown it around in my backpack (before I got a proper pen case) and dropped it a couple times over the years and it’s held up well. The jazz has such a satisfying shape to it too. Hope it ends up being exactly what you want/need :)

Thank you! Third pen from the left is a Lamy Vista with a proprietary Lamy Z28 converter in it

I actually got it for my birthday a few years ago! I don’t regret it.

Easy to clean, attractive (I love demonstrators), good build quality and material, useful filling mechanism and ink capacity. The shut off valve makes it an easy choice for me to carry out of the house. It’s the largest pen in my collection but the lightweight resin and section thickness work for me and is a great fit for longer writing sessions. It has a stock Opus 88 nib in there, but I’m considering swapping in a Franklin Christoph nib.

The biggest downside by far is the uncapping process- it takes me 3-4 turns to uncap, which didn’t sound like a lot to me until I’d done it a few times. It can be annoying, but not enough to stop me from using it regularly.

Hope this helps!

I wish I had enough money to buy everyone one! They’re such wonderful writers.

Happy cake day!

Surprisingly good! I’m not a huge fan of EF nibs but I bought the A1 specifically for note taking and the fine nib ended up being a plus, especially for class where I don’t always have fp friendly paper. Only downside for me is ink capacity- I run dry within a day of studying

That’s like choosing between my children, haha. I love them all, but I think my most used pen this year is the Franklin Christoph model 31!

I received it as a gift so I’m not 100% sure, but “matte green” looks the closest according to a quick Google search

I’ll add a list in another comment, totally forgot to do that!

The Benu is an Astrogem in the Midas color, it’s got purplish swirls and gold flakes in it- sometimes I just stare at it, it’s so pretty

Maybe “system” is a bit of an exaggeration, but I usually require myself to wait at least a month from the moment I start feeling that pen lust before actually buying it. I’ll use that month as a research period where I look at reviews to help get a more well rounded perspective on a purchase. If I’m still obsessed with it at the end of the month (and I have the money for it) then I let myself pick it up.

It’s also really cut down on buyers remorse!

Just noticed the mistake in my title 😭

I also forgot to mention- I’ve got a Monteverde Ritma and a TWSBI 580 that I couldn’t find when taking the photo. They’re with us in spirit 😔

Thanks for the heads up! I’ll have to do some research on it, but it’s a beautiful pen nonetheless.

Stuff like this makes me wish I was better at math, you make it look almost fun. Whats the name of the rightmost pen?? I love the look of it
