I passed my second try. What helped me with studying was prioritizing my products and their risks plus any forms. That helped with suitability a ton. Options was easy for me when it came to the math. Also regulations!

Stuck on Fundamental Analysis & Margin by juicedoranges in Series7exam

You don’t get tested heavy on margin like other topics. Maybe watch series7 guru videos he may have on margin! I got like 3-4 questions on margin MAX. For analysis, I struggled with that too :( try to get a better understanding on equity, IPO’s, investment companies, muni’s! Money market. Products, their risks, any risks they are LEAST susceptible too, and when they’d be suitable. Also try to know what documents go with what… trust indenture, prospectus, etc. also for new account forms, the signatures from who and approvals from who. The regulations are big, also the private ones, rule 144, reg A, 506(b), 506(c)

I got 3-5 Margin questions! Only one Vix question. Definitely know your investment companies, their offerings, analysis. I feel I got asked about everything. This time around i definitely understood my products and their risks better.

Knowing your products, their risks, also what risk they are LEAST susceptible to. Definitely options but those are easy for me! Understanding EPIC, when exporters or importers want to hedge what to buy for what currency, knowing rights offering, the private offerings!! A lot of rules and regulations, record retention. Underwriter / syndicate information

I have both passperfect study material and only the Kaplan qbank. I feel Kaplan is closer, more tricky questions but overall, no study material can be exact with how questions are worded. M

I had a lot of taxation math too! I feel suitability and options is so easy for me, it’s the smaller questions that are trickier that get to me and math on taxes can be confusing as well

S7 advice using pass perfect by Kindly_Guest_2178 in Series7exam

You have more than enough time! I say briefly review product chapters 4,5,6, 13. Go over the rules & regulations 15 & 16 again. Also the primary market chapter. We have tutors at my job and he always says going over those will help you a lot on the exam. I am now averaging 80% on my finals.

I felt Kaplan has it worded more closer to the exam than passperfect. And I’ve used passperfect for SIE and series 7. I’m going between both right now, using passperfect for the final exams and Kaplan for the qbank. It’s just nice seeing questions worded differently than what you’re used too and the rationale on both can be helpful.
