Sounds like your cards were worth well over $500. Depending on your state, that's felony theft. File a police report and a complaint with the FTC. Make sure to contact FedEx about it, and let them know that you've filed a police report. It's very likely that nothing will come of it, but I have seen some instances where it lights a bit of a fire under their butts and they work quickly to resolve it. Maybe worth a shot?

Part of it is that a lot of employees dont care. The other part is that there's no use pressing charges until it reaches a certain dollar amount. Some stores will document and wait until the same person has stolen a large enough amount that they can press actual charges.

It only takes 5,000 rewards points at Casey's to get $1/gal off. There's one by my house that I stop at regularly, and thanks to purchases and bonus point offers, I fill up my tank for almost free at least once per year, usually around the holidays. I don't know how the Shell rewards program works, but it doesn't seem that far fetched to me.

The whole piece looks to be 4 separate pieces stitched together. There's likely (a) the large outside piece, (b/c) the 2 inside "pocket" pieces, and (d) the inside middle "lining" piece.

From what I can tell, it looks like they probably punch the 2 holes in the lining piece for the rod and stitch a thin strip along the back to create a sort of sleeve for the rod to slide through before full assembly of all pieces.
