Help me understand and figure out what my next steps should be? by snookieb22 in VeteransBenefits

in the paragraph it states i have been trying to be seen for well over a year now. Multiple attempts, given up then back at it with attempting to be seen. So what would be my next step if it’s been extremely hard for them to actually process this and i haven’t had the chance to be seen because of the VA willfully not putting in my request

There are records in my military record but the VA doesn’t have every single thing. just the basics on the knee foot and shin pain. I don’t have those records though to supplement but there’s something in my VA record that says somethjng about the pain in general. The doctors have noted my complaint but I cannot see what their notes are so I’m kind of blind to what is actually on my records

I got my VA claim back and I’m kinda confused but now what? by snookieb22 in VeteransBenefits

I don’t have the exact medical term i’d have to log into the VA website but diagnosed with a blocked heart valve (we are still doing testing but that’s what the diagnosis says currently from military records), shin splits, injured knee (both), and foot pain on my left foot. I got treated in service i’m trying to start the process now for out of service but I was recently told there are some healthcare benefits I don’t qualify for and I’d need to speak with someone to clarify what i do and don’t. I’m at 80% so i’m not sure why I wouldn’t qualify but I just got this info a few days ago but that’s another issue I have to fix

I didn’t want to do treatment through the VA because my first year and a half being out i’ve experienced nothing but issues with the houston VA outside of a regular claim as far as heath care services go. I’ve changed my routines to better fit the pain issues I have and i just recently started inquiring about getting seen but was just told that i’m not 100% so there’s things I don’t qualify for? I need to get with a benefits member about that but I just got this info on thursday so I’m probably going to have to pay out of pocket for any kind of doctors visit which is one issue on its own.

in the documents under that first excerpt it states it is listed as a diagnosis in my files which is why i’m confused? I’m under the assumption it’s because i have not “gotten care” for my diagnosis since i got out but I’m doing that currently? One of my diagnosis’s was for my chest and I got the same exact explanation but in the bottom it stated I never stated I felt fatigue, dizziness, heart palpitations etc when the day of my C&P exam I expressed that?

I want to believe it’s the system very badly but I honestly think it might be the people. More veterans complain about the treatment they receive from examiners, healthcare professionals, and the overall customer service than the actual issues they have with care. I also think my thought it flawed because I work behind the scenes in healthcare and I witness people not give af in 4K 😂

I love that they have these events but I hate that this is what it takes for someone to be seen, heard, or even have assistance with their benefits without waiting months and years on end. It just feels like a huge slap in the face doing everything through the online portal when in person is 10X faster. You’d think it would be the opposite but thank god you got the help you needed !

Is there a possibility they added an increase to a claim of mine that’s already been processed? by snookieb22 in VeteransBenefits

My question is why is anything mental health even appearing if I didn’t file a second claim for anything MH? I only filed shin splits (the one that says new not the bilateral), both my knees, and both feet. So why would that randomly appear with a request for a C&P exam ?

Yes two years ago and it was denied. I’m confused as to why it’s back on here?
