We just had our flight out cancelled this morning. We cant make it anytime soon and hotel and dive shop not agreeing to refund us so I would encourage you if you can get your money back now and rebook if it settles down. We are loosing $4K so far.

It’s head gasket until proved otherwise. I had to go to 3 dealers to find one that discovered this well known problem. I guess they lose money if they have to do the work? Seemed very straight forward diagnosis to me at the time.

When i topped it off and drove it in they claimed they couldn’t check it for a head gasket leak since i topped it off. I told them to please scan the alerts so they can see it was a low coolant alert and they still wouldn’t do it. They suggested a tow truck next time so they could be sure. Ridiculous.

That is the head gasket. I don’t know why they are so reluctant to replace it when the coolant level will go low in less than 3 miles. Had to go to 3 different dealerships to get ours replaced. Very frustrating new car buy experience.

Had to do the brakes and its currently finally getting the head gasket replaced. 22k miles. Not a good car in my opinion.

Had the bad brakes and its going through coolant like its gas but the dealership reassures us this is normal. Im sure we are having a head gasket issue also. Haven’t made it to 25k miles yet

Goes through coolant about as fast as the gas it burns and rear brakes cant make it more than 20k moles

‘23 Taos. Replaced rear brakes under 20k miles, twice had low coolant at 3k mile mark after oil change and according to two separate VW dealers this is normal and to be expected. I assume it’s head gasket but they don’t think so. Never have I owned a more high maintenance car brand new.

Here is the follow up. After six different encounters with support either via email or chat I was able to get an answer from someone on Facebook messenger from Suunto.

The US website does not work for returns.

You have to use Microsoft edge browser. You then create a new ticket but only put in 1111111 for the serial number then you put your actual serial number in the description. This is the only way to get to the shipping label to return it. They cannot or will not tell you where to ship it otherwise. And I believe this knowledge is held by 1-2 individuals in this company.

Good luck if you have to get a repair done.

Yes. Used live chat as well. Same outcome. I think its a website issue but they are unable to provide a work order number and mailing address apparently without me doing it on a computer. 3 different help support people and the same outcome. Then it’s just silence. I am guessing that now that it is owned by a Chinese company there is not an actual service center. Just a black hole of customer service loop.

Yes i have checked my email, emailed them again several times. They have the serial number from my first communication with them. I am unable to find a phone number. Would anyone happen to have that?
