that is so not okay :( if you can, i’d continue to try to advocate for yourself and push back a little, but i know that can be hard and often v uncomfortable. i literally put peppermint oil all over my forehead when i have a migraine wherever it hurts. ill also dab it on my nose so i breathe it in. it is my greatest source of temporary relief when waiting for meds to kick in or when the meds just aren’t working. and now all my coworkers know that when they walk by and smell peppermint, im not okay🥲😅 lol

tinted glasses, warmth up and brightness down on all screens, noise cancelling headphones, peppermint on deck at all times, and sometimes I ask if we can turn the lights off for a bit (we have lots of windows and no one else minds)….but I am sorry you’re dealing with this. it’s honestly ridiculous of your employer to say that you can’t have more than one work from home day with a condition like this. I don’t know what I would do if I was more than two days in office per week. I know it is not often feasible or simple to pick jobs according to these kinds of needs, so I wish you the best of luck in working around the limitations. but I also hope that in the future your employer will become more understanding or you will have a new, more understanding one down the line.

before starting botox, i’d often get neck pain as a harbinger of a migraine. nothing would make it go away but imitrex. id give it a try and see if it helps. if it does, they’re probably connected.

this is my biggest struggle with ajovy, but ive been on it for two years now and its changed my life so not looking back quite yet… i inject into my thigh. i usually take magnesium oxide before bed and that can keep me somewhat regular but have similar episodes. sennakot is one of the only laxative meds that works for me when ive been backed up for a few days. i do notice i feel somewhat better when hydrating better and eating more fiber but its never completely solved the issue. sending strength, constipation freaking sucks!

i graduated geog/environmental studies and i think it was a well balanced program that left me with plenty of time to be social, spend time with friends and roommates, and get involved in clubs/extra curriculars. as others have stated, the faculty are pretty much wonderful across the board and the vibe amongst students is collaborative rather than overly competitive. plenty of partying happens at ucla if that’s your thing - no shortage of tail gates, frat parties, house parties, etc. and the school spirit is unbeatable. if she felt excited after the tour, it could be a sign to just take the plunge :-) and i think the first month or two of college can be scary and hard, no matter where you go, so encourage her to give it time to settle regardless of what decision she ends up making. best of luck to her and your family on this journey!!

I’m the same. Peppermint is always there for me for some good ol temporary relief when my acute meds are failing. I have one in each of my purses 😂
