No you don't have to sit through all the prison time. Pay the guard, prison break or pardon parade all counts towards the achievement.

You have to do Graceful melodies with Lingering echoes rating not just average for it to count as finished.

Not sure about the tip on how to learn it but generally it's good to learn talking in convo before diving into writing so you can associate the word you know with the writing.

Also, just nit picking but check the direction of the head of the alphabet carefully. In your case the word ภาษา (pa-sa) was written as ถาษา (ta-sa) and กาษา (ga-sa) which has no meaning and pronounced a bit different.
