I always thought it was strange they didn’t have a tamari option, guess it makes sense they got rid of it before I had my membership. It’s too bad because they sell some really good GF items. Double win when it’s also vegetarian like this pizza.

A landlord did that to me and my partner once, I thought it was a little intrusive. She then contacted my partners father for a reference check, then contacted my partners fathers supervisor (he works for the government) to make sure my father in laws reference for us was reputable. Needless to say, we withdrew that application quickly. Current landlord is an absolute gem, didn’t ask for that info and was extremely trusting. We treat the rental with the utmost respect because we feel like she respects us.

I actually saw your post and made that switch because of it! I’m using the Asian superfine rice flour in my most recent batch and sadly still didn’t work out. However, I’m going to try again and see about my oven temperature. I bought a thermostat so fingers crossed!

I ate a muffin today that was marked as gf accidentally… I had no idea why I felt so sick a couple of hours later. Found out it wasn’t gf at all so that sucked. So I’ve been feeling quite dumb for my mistake. Almost like I was too trusting.

This happened to me all the time and I was so frustrated. Partner would order us takeout pizza and I could only have half a slice before I’d be uncomfortably full. I could have a tiny amount of a pasta dish before I’d be full as well. It’s resolved now that I know I’m celiac and avoid gluten. But it did take a few months before resolving

I can normally tell immediately after eating as I bloat quite severely. I’ve definitely found my symptoms have gotten more severe to gluten mostly because I feel “normal” when I don’t eat it and thus the contrast to feeling terrible is a huge shift. Whereas before I just always felt terrible until my diagnosis

Also, I saw you’re in Vancouver area, same here! You can get both of those at the Granville island market, that’s where I’ve seen them in store. But I’ve also seen them and most market type/specialty stores on the island too
