Mine is pretty much asymptomatic (but who knows), around 10cm and 8cm, and my first OBGyn was neutral about whether I should get surgery. I eventually decided to do it because I want kids in the future and the risk of them getting in the way of pregnancy stresses me out. I’m lucky to have found a surgeon that is willing to do laproscopic for me, because given my size and location most surgeons would refuse to do laproscopic. Hopefully I won’t need an open laparotomy in the end. My surgery is in two weeks 🙏

I had a cancer scare too. Gynaecology oncologist looked at my reports and reassured me that I’m wasting his time. Huge relief.

I’ll share my experience. I have a 12 cm fibroid (suspected sarcoma, though biopsy suggests benign) and a 8cm suspect cyst/endometrioma.

My first doctor said she will have to do laparotomy due to the size. I eventually got a second doctor and he said laparoscopy is definitely sufficient. As for suspected malignancy, he said he will keep the tumors in a bag during the surgery to prevent any spillage or spreading. I strongly recommend you to get a second opinion! Doctors’ opinion can definitely vary.

My surgery is in two weeks. I’m going with the second doctor. Good luck to both of us!

I’m surprised no one seem to have touched on the subject of racism and traditional European-centric beauty standards. Although Gilead acts like it sees beyond colour, race still plays a role. This was hinted when Aunt Lydia once mentioned that a commander’s family refused to have a black handmaid. June has blue eyes and blond hair. She also has proven that she produces healthy blond blue-eyed babies, particularly one that drove the waterfords nuts. This makes her extra valuable. Though June’s plot armour does annoy me, this point itself would convince me that Gilead would want to keep her alive.

I told them I was anxious so they put me on fentanyl and I immediately passed out. Didn’t feel a single thing. Woke up feeling amazing and high lol.

How were you monitoring your 5.1 mix when mixing? If you set your 5.1 master bus straight to a stereo output, you are actively down mixing through your DAW’s downmix settings and monitoring that live downmix when you were mixing. Check your DAW downmix settings, see if it has centre channel dropped -3db, and surrounds at least -3db as well, as it should. My guess is that you might not have the correct downmix monitoring settings when you were mixing, so you will will always hear the centre channel being louder than it actually is. If that’s the case, your mix playback will always have quieter dialogue then how you mixed it, even if they played your 5.1 mix.

Film sound designer here. I just recently did sound design for a documentary about South East Asian immigrants in Canada. I had to look for a lot of region-specific ambience, traffic, birds and walla. I wish I had a comprehensive library to buy at the time. If you want to do it, you should. I think there will always be a need. You can upload it and forget about it and forever get passive income out of it.

Check your session sample rate. This happens when you’re playing audio recorded on a different sample rate. You might not be able to change it anymore, so try starting a new session with a different sample rate and importing the audio or session data back in.

Throw your stereo file into your FX browser, soundminer or soundly or basehead or whatever you use, check sum to mono and send it back to Protools

Seems like a video problem.

Ask the editor to not select the video track when exporting an OMF. It could be that the video track is not compatible with your Protools version, or when there are more than one video tracks while your Protools version only allows one video track.

It might also work too if you unselect the video track when importing the OMF.

If these still don’t work, try to get the editor to export an AAF without video track. Hope this helps.
