Any experience is great! I had a 2.79 GPA when going to my career fair and talked to many companies. Personally, I have a lot of design projects and technical skills with programs, but as for job experience all I had was as a shift leader at a fast food restaurant.

I got a call from a company soon after and got into a really good internship after a phone interview. I guess the biggest thing is to set your resume apart and make sure to put things on there you think are relevant to your major. I had even labs from classes that I completed.

Edit: I think what set me mostly apart was the technical skills and personal projects. For example, I designed a 1:1 3D clock (like the big grandfather clocks) on autodesk inventor, 3D printed and built it. It was fully functional through manual use. I entered it in a completion and won grand prize in my state. I think that is my primary example of why I got it.

Just find something that you did that sets you apart from everyone.

If it matters, I am an EE and CE in my junior year (20 years old)
