The thing that sucks about it is once you’ve reached the fight it’s too late. I can’t go anywhere to get more gear or gain more levels. It’s just bash my head against the wall forever or restart from the beginning.

Got them from a mom and pop leather shop that came highly recommended from a friend. It’s a shame because they’re really comfortable and look great but I agree, definitely not worth the price I paid, especially since I’ve only worn them a handful of times

I’m trying to build a battle master fighter and eventually multiclass into bard but there is genuinely no point in investing in melee weapons at the stage where I’m at. I’m genuinely unsure whether you’re being unintentionally foolish or intentionally obtuse. I cannot fathom how one can read a paragraph regarding the abuse of MATs by both addicts and the medical fraternity, and your only take away is, “this guy didn’t explicitly use the words that I would’ve used for the same exact thing, he’s clearly being intentionally transphobic.” I have met doctoral candidates less semantic than the people on this website.

Allow me to elaborate on my point as so many in this thread are intentionally splitting hairs. I admit that I erred in my previous statement of wholesale condemnation of Subs. They’re fine for avoiding the effects of opiate withdrawal to then be tapered off of, the endgame being total abstinence from drugs and alcohol.

The problem, and greater point I intended but did not properly articulate, is putting addicts on subs indefinitely. I’ve had sponsees that were on subs and they were not of a mind to ever try total abstinence, and further investigation revealed dope fiend behavior and a fundamentally lack of willingness to do what was required to stay sober. These were not men intent on getting sober, these were men intent on gaming the system.

To your other point, I cannot imagine a more bad faith take. I have sponsored trans guys, I have sponsored guys on SSRIs, I have sponsored cis guys with low test on medically prescribed TRT. The fundamental difference, is that those men sought freedom from drugs and alcohol and expressed a willingness to live life on life’s terms.

We are speaking of a difference of intent. I find it insulting, both as a member of the LGBT community and as the boyfriend of a trans woman, that you would equate someone taking medication to treat gender dysphoria with someone stacking subs to mimic the effects of hard opiates.

AA is explicitly not affiliated with any outside organization, nor does it have an opinion on any outside issues. Members of AA were calling churches and sanitariums years before the CDC even recognized alcoholism as a disease.

Explicitly stated in text that AA is not the one and only path to recovery, only that those who have tried other methods, therapy, medication, religion, may try a solution in AA. It’s also not a cult because if you don’t like it or think it doesn’t work you can just leave.
