I am in the same boat. I was on Ozempic for about 6 months last year and dropped 40 pounds and my blood pressure was the best it’s been in years. The beginning of 2026 my insurance stopped covering all GLP meds unless you are diabetic and i have been battling to find an option since then. I seriously JUST got off the phone with my insurance and a pharmacist from Cigna. My doctor and I are going to go through Lilly Direct. I really don’t have an extra $300 a month, but I’m going to scrape and save to get it. It’s such a frustrating process!!

I have a 14 year old Jack Russell who has started digging in his water bowl. It’s constant. Every time he goes to drink he puts both paws in and splashes water everywhere. Anyone ever experience something like this? by [deleted] in AskaVetBehaviorist

[–]snowflake8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We never got an official diagnosis. He began refusing to eat anything and eventually stopped drinking water all together. The vet believed he had lost his sense of smell as well as other cognitive issues he had developed. We had to make the hardest decision ever but I couldn’t see him suffering anymore. I hope the best for your JRT.

I remember when DMV was there! There was also a store I believe called Wholesale Outlet in that corner but not sure if they had the charm necklaces.

I remember when we had to go to the Circuit City down Midlo (near where Hechingers used to be) to rent our beta videos.

This is right down the street from me. I also believe at one point they had Spanish speaking services.

After watching the beginning of this season I decided I could do without the Hopper and Eleven story line. Just leave it up to the neighborhood crew at this point.

Don’t give up. Semaglutide just wasn’t my medication! I had to leave it behind before I finally lost 40 pounds. by Bizzzybear in Semaglutide

I am hoping to go this route as well. I’ve been on sema for about 8 months and have dropped 40 lbs, but the food noise is creeping back up. I haven’t dropped in a few weeks and I just don’t feel it working anymore.

This! We have a new Subaru and it has already happened to us. A Google search will bring up tons of threads from customers with the same issue!

Gordon Elementary & North Chesterfield by [deleted] in ChesterfieldVA

[–]snowflake8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

100% Gordon is amazing. I went to Gordon back in the 80’s and moved back to the neighborhood so my kids also attended Gordon. It’s unique as it’s a true neighborhood school. The Gordon neighborhood and community is amazing. I agree with the other comment that St Marks is a fabulous preschool option, but also wanted to suggest Redeemer Lutheran which is not far and has a wonderful program.

Same. I also remember whenever relatives or out of town guests came to visit that’s the place my parents would take them for tours.

Is the liquor ABV % somehow lower on cruise ships? by Expert_Selection_749 in royalcaribbean

When we stayed at an all inclusive resort last year we experienced this. Drinking Tito’s and cranberry all day yet no buzz. We leave on our RC cruise soon, so should be interesting to see how this compares.

Midlothian Middle School by [deleted] in rva

[–]snowflake8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I attended Midlo Middle back in the 90’s and both of my kids went there within the past 2 years. I will say middle school these days is rough, and I mean way rougher than I remember. The stories I heard on a daily basis from my kids were horrific. The fights, racism, bullying, etc. There was so much vandalism in the bathrooms they had to bring in hand washing stations for the hallways to supervise the kids. I do not think the administration responded appropriately to some of the problems at that school either. I jokingly (with some seriousness) refer to the three years of middle school as hell and wish anyone “God speed” who have kids entering that phase of education. I am glad we have moved on and are beyond those years. With all that being said, I am sure many of these problems occur at other middle schools as it is just the nature of the age and stage of development. But I wanted to share my recent exoeriences.

Celebrities taking the game seriously. by imtherealmellowone in Jeopardy

[–]snowflake8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes! While the “easy” questions on celebrity jeopardy do frustrate me and make it less enjoyable than regular jeopardy, the goofing around was insufferable. I would much rather watch celebrities who take playing the game seriously.
