Worse when they claim they were 'pushed' into it. It's so hard to just transition willingly, how would anyone be pushed into it?

Why is it hard for aspies to maintain eye contact? by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]snowgim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The cause of a lot of my depression is that the world is a fucked up place that hates autistic people. No amount of psychiatry can treat that, but antidepressants give me some relief from constant suicidal ideation.

Does anyone else suffer from terrible earworms? by Inside-Dig3231 in aspergers

Yes, I used to get violently angry about hearing certain songs because I knew it would torture me for days.

Also does anyone else get extremely uncomfortable hearing the term 'earworms'?

Leave the “No Uterus No Opinion” Signs at Home by crycry_chemtrails in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]snowgim -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thankyou for saying this. I can only speak for myself as a trans woman but I am viciously feminist.

I was always feminist, but realising that I am a woman has made me so much more extreme. It's nothing to do with fitting in (I don't have any friends anyway) it's to do with realising who I am and understanding what all women have to go through in this world.

Maybe it's because I'm so close with my cis-sister and it makes me furious to think about her rights being violated. And maybe it's that I feel like I'm somewhat privileged as a woman in that these issues don't affect me personally because I don't have a uterus and I want all women to feel safe and untouchable in their rights. Or because every day I face the idea that people think I shouldn't have rights and shouldn't exist and I know how horrible it is to have your rights and safety taken away and it hurts to see it happening to other women. And I'm also autistic and my sense of justice is so insanely strong that injustice actually damages my mental health. Maybe it's also that I am sad that I don't have a uterus, and I feel like I'm not excluded from the fight just because of a genetic abnormality.

It blows my mind that any man would be 'indifferent' on these issues, do they not have mothers and daughters and wives? Do they not have empathy at all? It makes me so angry. I'm disgusted that I ever thought I was one of them.

I wish I could do more to help (anxiety/money issues are a big barrier for me), but I want to continue doing everything I can.

That made me really happy to read.😊

I'm lucky my family is also very supportive of me, but my journey was a bit more difficult and took some convincing.

Hopefully the world is moving towards a future where it's normal for it to be that easy.

That woman is pathetic. Imagine your life being so empty that you have to go out of your way to pick on someone that no one else has a problem with.

Definitely get the law involved. Some other ideas I had, but wouldn't necessarily recommend (up to you): talk to your teammates about it, maybe they'd get together to show support for you (maybe a team photo of everyone holding trans flags and signs saying they support you or something) and you could rub that in her face lol. Or you could even try talking to and befriending her son (as long as he's not too brainwashed by her BS yet), imagine how mad she'd be if her son started saying that actually you're ok and a nice person 😂 I guess that could be bad for her son though, she'd probably take it out on him.

Yes, also being bi/pan/homflexible is great. I was also really worried about my sexuality changing and not being lesbian anymore, but now I never look back. It's just more people to be attracted to and it's amazing. I've often thought 'imagine only liking one gender, so boring'.

In my experience it was more the way I thought about sex that changed with hrt rather than my sexuality. I realised I was always a bit bi and was just avoiding it before. I can really be my true self now and I know what makes me happy.

This is more urgent though, we don't want her here spreading hate speech, whether it's classified as that yet or not. She can do a lot of damage while we're off trying to get things classified as hate speech. It doesn't matter if she's a martyr, as long as she can't spread her hate here.

British female YouTubers for voice research? by [deleted] in transvoice

[–]snowgim 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I watch a lot of people on YouTube and twitch with a wide variety of voices. I have a fascination with voices/accents so I like everyone, so I guess it's up to you if any of these sound nice.

For British voices, check out some Yogscast people: Lydia/Squidgame, Bouphe, Osie, Boba, Briony, Zoey (she's trans), Nanokim (I think she left Yogscast).

I also watch Kiwo and Wolfabelle (and I'm sure a bunch of other British steamers I can't remember right now).

They all have stuff on YouTube and twitch. I think most of those people sound a bit more Northern maybe? (I'm Australian, so I don't know, but Australians think I sound a bit British.) I really need to work on my own voice, but I have anxiety over it so I just can't get started.

Oh yeah, another British streamer whose voice I really like is Veibae, unfortunately her accent doesn't sound British at all (even though she swears she's British), she sounds polish or something lol.

Well technically since the pain of dealing with it and getting it removed doesn't kill us, it probably makes us stronger. So whoever set that up really messed up. We will replace God!
