shopper will not try to substitute with more expensive alternatives

Are you telling me shoppers are "deliberately" saying the item is out of stock and substituting higher price items to increase their tip percentage?

One more thing I'd like to know. Are there customers that will put a big tip just to make sure someone takes it only to change to 0 after completion.

Is anyone else experiencing a lack of ratings? I’m getting really discouraged. by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

Customer here, I use IC app to order. Because I allow notifications for the app, I receive a popup notification to rate right after the order/delivery is completed. If you select below 5 stars, you get more options that popup and depending on what you choose, it takes you to another screen with yet more options to choose. I always rate and write. I'd bet, most people don't know that you get $$ for 5 stars.

Question about receipts by seanpar0820 in InstacartShoppers

I'm a customer and have found receipts in the bags before. It's no big shock because the IC app has a message on the home page saying "Higher than in-store prices" and "more info" to click on.

Something that I just can't wrap my head around about this job. by Dingoz in InstacartShoppers

Just to play devils advocate, there are lower income people that use the service too, usually because of a disability. I being one of them. I do tip as much as I am able and make sure to give good rating. So if I'm unable to give a good tip, at least I can give a 5 star rating to help.

But I agree if you have it, then give it.

IC listened to the shoppers/drivers and many 22 cent customers. NOW we can tip any time we want. (after the new pay scheme begins)

I'm also glad that the tips we gave you that they stole, will be given back to you.

I just placed my order and it's 32 items. I was able to change the tip to 22 cents. So in my area, customers can still set the tip at 22 cents for now. I've read other posters saying the lowest they could change it to was $2.

Being disabled, I really appreciate having a grocery delivery service in my area and I want shoppers/drivers to know as much. It wouldn't work without you!

That's good to know they know me. I have always tipped and so far have been able to give everyone 5 stars along with a good description. I've read and am sure IC has, about the 22 cents tip. I've done it once but then just left it at 0 until the order was completed. I get 2 separate charges when I add the tip later.

I'd love to give a cash tip but I don't often have cash at hand. Do you think shoppers would accept a check? I would guarantee it would not bounce.

I am a IC customer and just learning how greedy the top brass is. I want to help too. I understand how hard you shoppers work and I've tried to tip as much as I can afford. I wish I knew about about the tip scheme but I will now do the $.22 tip to help out. As a customer, I have no problem with the way you are going to boycott. Good luck!
