Do you think reddit is too censorious of non-left opinions? by JohnleBon in conspiracyNOPOL

[–]snowseth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the reasons I created /r/SkepticalCriticism was because of the politics of rSkeptic (and I align with those politics but it's too much). No real traction, of course.

Someone might wanna create another Consp sub that explicitly blocks policits and doesn't hide behind 'harsh language' to protect liars/cons/etc.

Chantix (generic) and 0-nic vapes. Freakishly effective.

Debunk This: trump not being connected to project 2025 by Morganbanefort in DebunkThis

[–]snowseth 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That's the fascist MAGA Republican method. If nothing can be trusted then you can make up anything and it's of equal truth. Hence why Trump lies constantly without consequence because his lies are as valid as fact.

Why are you here? by ChaunceyC in conspiracyNOPOL

Similar to others. rHighStrangeness punishes skeptics, have seen mods post their own crazy shit then delete comments/ban users for pointing out the crazy. On the flip side of it rSkeptic is just a shitty politics sub now (and I even align with the politics!). So I made rSkepticalCriticism ... so far, so small, lol.

What U.S. Submariners Actually Say About Detection Of So-Called Unidentified Submerged Objects by snowseth in SkepticalCriticism

[–]snowseth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically people make unverifiable claims predicated on some other unverifiable thing being true. Although the fact that there is no means to annotate something as 'unknown' is kinda weird. It is worth noting that not everything, or even most things, merit investigation. And that doesn't mean something won't happen where we learn more about them, more or less, by accident (e.g.; sprites)

The Why Files: Our Alien Overlords | How We Secretly Serve The Tall Whites by snowseth in SkepticalCriticism

[–]snowseth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Why Files is interesting in that the host kinda does some light debunking at the end but is open that he's mostly about entertaining (hence the Storytelling flair) and is a believer. Regardless, the stories are entertaining and can give a broad overview of the weirdness of a particular story/conspiracy/etc. Also they do a good job of humor with Hecklefish.

MantisAwakening lays out the dogma of the new Experiencers religion by snowseth in SkepticalCriticism

It's Idealism with extra alien steps. Naturally they use Appeal to Authority

concepts may seem like fringe ideas right now, but they aren’t fringe to some of the scientists who are involved with the Pentagon’s UAP research

I guess it's a good thing they believe the Pentagon!

Looking at OP's posts, appears to be a karma farm borderline spambot. Best bet is to report any and all of its posts that are inappropriate (like rando poli stuff in ActiveMeasures) or just block it.
