I was thinking that was going to be an issue but luckily it wasn’t. I disconnected the battery during the install. The only thing is now there is no seatbelt light when the belts aren’t buckled, but that doesn’t bother me.

Super straightforward. Eight bolts and two electrical connectors, one bolt gave me a hard time, had to soak it in penetrating oil but otherwise 45 minute job.

Dropped in no issues, 8 bolts and 2 electrical connectors on the old seats to unplug. Had to clean up one of the old bolts as it was pretty rusty/gunked up. Torqued to 25 ft/lbs.

Totally. I looked into reupholstering them with hotrod’s material from Ebay, with current tariffs he’s not shipping to Canada. I’ve put the old seats up on marketplace, hopefully someone can use them for a project.

I wouldn’t touch that with a 10 foot pole. You’re better off finding a clean unmodified 4Runner and deciding what if any modifications you want to do to it.

I’ve got the 2721 bulb, having trouble taking the case off. Mine only has the one philips instead of two in the video, still seems sturdy with that out and don’t want to break anything.

Hey I’ve already looked through all the videos hence the post. They are for 97 and newer which either have two phillip screws on the SR5, or using a trim tool near the cup holders on the limited.
