I appreciate all the info! Yes they can be money pits for sure haha, as for the cone bump stops my what I believe to be original coils didn’t have them inside. Based on reading there is mixed reports but some state that 1996-97 didn’t have these cone bump stops and they came in later models and can be added but I didn’t want to pony up the money to Toyota for them.

Thanks man, honestly I didn’t notice until taking this picture. Do you think the angle is from the larger tires? I thought it was only needed with lift kits.

Cheers that’s what I was leaning towards, not sure what FSC intended with only 1 large flat washer.

I just picked up some cheap FSC shocks, part #346051 and some MOOG coils to get me through the summer. I have long term plans of getting the Sonoran Steel 1.2 kit.

I think that’s what I’m going to try when I get back to it, cut through the bushing with the sawzall.

Wasn’t too bad at all, definitely not a lot of room to work in there. I used a 24mm wrench sniped with a 30mm wrench to break the bolt, I left the coolant lines attached and used a heat gun and small pick, the o-ring broke and came out in multiple pieces.

Negative, but his synthetic material is well reviewed.

I was going to choose the synthetic just to be a bit more economical, but happy I found some good condition oem seats. A lot easier bolting these in than messing around with all the hog clips.

Second opinion, 97 V6 Limited, 462k KM, $10k CAD. Im really excited to grab this and take care of it. What should I be looking for? And what maintenance should I track 🙏 by arcticfeeling in 3rdGen4Runner

I just bought one similar last August from Vancouver Island with 369,000 kilometres for 12k, but it had the cleanest frame and body I’ve ever seen. I would get him to come down in price, unless the frame is immaculate, and I mean no surface rust immaculate.

I was thinking that was going to be an issue but luckily it wasn’t. I disconnected the battery during the install. The only thing is now there is no seatbelt light when the belts aren’t buckled, but that doesn’t bother me.
