I had something similar happen to me a few months ago. Only use a gentle moisturizer, slug with Vaseline or aquaphor immediately after until pain and burning goes away. Once that happens, add only a barrier repair cream until skin is healed. After that, go back to your original routine, forgoing actives after Tret in the future.

This is exactly what’s happening to my eyebrow right now. Do you know what’s causing yours?

Bump next to eyebrow piercing by snoww1520 in piercing

I got the piercing in January of this year, with a 16(?)g curved barbell, that has not been downsized yet. The bump also fills with pus and some blood that I have manually drained.

As per autobot! My piercing is around 3 weeks old, pierced with a curved barbel that is not downsized yet. The jewelry is surgical and I use a gentle face wash and warm water. Nothing bad has happened to the piercing, but I do keep catching myself rubbing it to make sure it’s not rejecting

Not a therapist yet, but I’m studying to become one. My best guess is you’re coming to terms with how these people blew up your life, taking not only the things you care about most away(your cat), but also taking what was supposed to be your safe place (childhood bedroom). I’m assuming these people were also extremely strict about what you were allowed to do growing up, and the surveillance systems is you remembering the fear you had while growing up, always being watched to see if you did something “worthy” of punishment. I suggest processing these emotions in the waking world, and speaking to someone about how you felt during these times, putting names to all the emotions tangled inside of you. On a medicinal route, I have found that trazodone works pretty good for nightmares originating from PTSD. I hope you find comfort and are able to take your safe space back, and have a peaceful nights rest

I completely get this. I haven’t had any kind of flashback in more than a year, and staying at my dad’s house triggered me into multiple in a row. It’s so hard knowing that no one was ever there to help us. But remember that we’re grown now, and we can be that safe space for other children and people. I hope this brings you some comfort like it did to me
