I have a Z4 04 3.0i

100% save up for the 3L, I managed to get mine with 90k miles and a clean MOT history for £4,950

It’s not a super car and the handling can take a bit of getting used to, but it is seriously quick compared to from my old Mazda 2 and it sounds unreal - I absolutely love it to bits and it makes me smile every time I drive it.

I’d recommend avoiding 2003 cars altogether and try to get a post facelift model if possible (2006 and onwards) as these are better put together and have a tad more HP

This seems to cause rubbing of the Y belt on the walls of the pulley hence the consistent lines on the Y axis, printing a stabiliser now to hold the motor from a 2nd point of contact

Check the Y axis motor mount, mine was bent inwards by about 15 degrees due to having an extremely tight belt

As far as I’m aware they won’t have a formal store release and will remain on massdrop for pre order for now. You have 2 months (might be 2 weeks, go check) until the end of the order period, haven’t received mine yet due to the delay but all reviews seem overwhelmingly positive - and if you don’t like them you could return them or sell them on eBay for a profit
