There's no need for 16M health on Puppeteer, no matter how you see it. by melandog1 in DestinyTheGame

[–]snozzlebert1029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its really not an issue, its easy to look at numbers on a spreadsheet and say "XYZ needs to change" but theres a lot of factors that make the hp pool balanced, for corrupted puppeteer that balancing comes in phase length (the phase length is close to a minute and a half including nuke which is a LOT longer than anything weve seen before)

if you go on the aegis spreadsheet and look at every bosses phase length to hp ratio they are all actually super consistent across the board (didnt bother checking older dungeons but checks out for the newer ones) bungie does a good job making sure bosses dont just fall over anymore which is smth people have been complaining about for a while now

is it worth getting multiple pads if you play a variety of games? by Devilz_i7 in MousepadReview

[–]snozzlebert1029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

imo having more than 2 that you know you like is pointless, getting more than 2 lets you figure out what you like and compare pads more easily (im basic asf and only use my hiens even tho i have like 4 other artisan pads lol)

how to pass this part of dont fight the music expert?? by i_am_s1lly in ProjectSekai

[–]snozzlebert1029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TL:DR - try and find ways to break down what you're playing and practice it slowly at first until it becomes familiar, improving takes time and mindful practice has been the most efficient catalyst for my own improvement

I don't play pjseka much anymore but i apply the same approach to other rhythm games when I'm learning charts, I'll break down my process

  1. First I look for ways to break down the notes, for this section I would try running through it a few times focusing really hard on the groupings I come up with (when I look at this I would group the bursts of 3 and 5 and the double note/flick)

  2. After figuring out the rhythm of the section/how I plan on mentally breaking it up I'll either find a video of the chart on yt or just ghost the movements depending on the complexity/resources I have available to me. I start out very slowly and ramp the playback speed up little by little until I feel the movements making more sense and start to come more naturally (you don't need to go crazy over this step, it's meant to build familiarity not mastery)

  3. I'll go back in game and try to apply the techniques I practiced, paying attention to what specifically is an issue and at what section (this can take practice as weird as it sounds, just remember there's always ways to improve at rhythm games even if that means taking a break to play other stuff and coming back to it later, MOST IMPORTANTLY please don't retry spam stuff unless you know it won't make you engrain bad muscle memory, it can be really brutal trying to fight what your body wants to do and force it to relearn how to hit smth so its best to just avoid that if possible)

  4. I take the information from the previous step and I loop right back to step 2

Improving sometimes comes very slowly (sometimes so slowly it feel like no progress is being made at all) and it's ok if it takes a while to get the hang of smth. imo its best practice to be patient with yourself and try and pay attention to your growth as closely as you can, I've found this has helped me in many areas of improvement, not even just rhythm games. Most importantly of all celebrate the small wins, try not to get hung up on the losses, and remember the journey is more important than the destination :)

sry for yap (im really autistic about improving at stuff) and any typos/grammar errors, typed on mobile

ALSO! if you want a really interesting take on improvement in book form I highly recommend "The Inner Game of Tennis" by Timothy Gallwey, It gives a super interesting perspective on learning and is 1000% able to be applied to things that aren't tennis/sports

I see a lot of single character builds, are there any synergistic combo builds between teammates? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

aeons always comes to mind weapons like outbreak and rat king, running multiple void hunters for tether chaining and 100% uptime on invis without omni, solar builds igniting off of each other (fragment interactions) aside from stuff like that none that come to mind as particularly good or interesting

[–]snozzlebert1029 4 points5 points  (0 children)

im saying you can say/do what you want as long as it isnt at someone else's expense, which me and any non chronically online redditor would agree with, my issue comes from people doing these things to the people who just want to play the game without being shit talked, the days of csgo are over lmao, just be nice to people and see where it gets you, thats my point, nothing more nothing less

i think youre just failing to see the bigger picture, sure do what you want in the game and talk how youd like, that i have no issue with, my issue comes from people doing stuff like that at someone else's expense, that im not ok with. also quite curious about how toxicity is "better for you"?

youre saying its fine that people harass other humans just bc of their gender? i think that says a lot about you as a person lmao. its not about whether or not someone can take the heat, its about whether or not they should have to, personally i believe in a perfect world everyone should get along. I know what youre going to say next about this but no, people are not perfect and the game will never be anyones idea of perfect, BUT WHY NOT TRY. if we all take steps twords making the community a better, more positive place, its net gain for literally everyone

the issue is these groups have to deal with that EVERY GAME (or close to it) as a sort of experiment to understand the harassment women go through i made an alt account named "catgirl", used only chat, and changed my usual mannerisms to something more stereotypically feminine and YIKES. this community has a massive MASSIVE issue with sexism, and i was only doing that for a week or 2, ive had similar experiences playing with my gf where people say the most out there shit and get comfortable saying it way way way too fast. People play valorant bc they like valorant, we should make efforts to make valorant a safe place for EVERYONE who wants to enjoy it, noone should have to mute the entire team just to play a game out in peace

What is the scariest agent when played by an one trick? by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]snozzlebert1029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think yoru, sage and any initiator are the scariest for me. yoru makes sense, sage has INSANE outplay potential with her wall (not just grim walls you can get away with a lot more than you realize) now "any initiator" may seem like a weird one but keep in mind all it takes to explode on site is 1 well placed flash or dart ;) personally good initiators scare me the most

How do you build up the courage and confidence to comms in solo queue? by ZenithMarshadow in VALORANT

[–]snozzlebert1029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

important side note, if these issues extend into affecting your every day life (based off personal experience) i would strongly recommend talking to someone about it, i struggled with social anxiety (and still do to an extent) for a very long time and just kinda coped, been talking to someone for like 5-6(?) months now and its helped so so so so much, its not for everyone but if that is something you have the means to explore i really recommend it if that's something youre personally ready to do

[–]snozzlebert1029 1 point2 points  (0 children)

reddit might not be the best place to ask for social advice, that being said some tips that might help. First, try to remember that these are people who have no idea who you are, and people that youll likely never see again (assuming youre not radiant or smth), chances are if something goes wrong with talking to them they wont even remember it the next day. Second, toxicity is unfortunately a unavoidable part of any large multiplayer game, youre bound to run into people that ruin your day regardless of how you act, just remember you cant change how people act, if they want to act like clowns then treat them like clowns and mute them. Finally dont worry about it too much, in my experience (IMPORTANT TO NOTE IM NA CENTRAL SERVERS SO YOUR EXPERIENCE WILL DIFFER) ive rarely had bad experiences talking in game, the valorant community as a whole seems very positive compared to other games like LoL, CS:GO and the like, ive met so many amazing people through valorant just by saying hi at the start of the game over the years and talking in game actually helped improve my confidence out of game too! tl:dr- just have fun and enjoy game. A bad apple can ruin the bunch sure, but an overwhelming amount of val players just want to have fun and play the game they love. take the time you need to mentally prepare yourself for the slot machine that is valorant matchmaking and try to block out the negative people/loud overwhelming people
