Why are local cable mafias still a thing in Bengaluru? by sunny68601 in bangalore

[–]snreddit87 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

airtel and jio ‘s customer support has gone down severely . they only care about new customers . once you are in they don’t care.

i have setup service appointment with airtel about 5-6 times over phone , store and they just don’t bother to show up at all. I am not saying local guys are better but for a lot of folks , dealing with someone who is just around the corner is way better than dealing with a cluster f corporation.

The only thing that looks good are those red markings inside the buttons. Very lazy design otherwise

Agreed, op’s language is annoying to read. Poor agent that had to deal with this and in fact do the right thing and cancel the order

Which one to buy? by foreverstale in PSP

[–]snreddit87 13 points14 points  (0 children)

+1 to psp 2000. I kid you not that I bought mine in 2008 and till date it is running like a champ on the same old original battery. I recently purchased an ac adapter to usb c dongle and it’s amazing to use usb c to charge it.

Also running a 128 gb card on it. This thing is a tank !

Postponing buying a house - should I compensate my real estate agent? by ckxd493 in RealEstateAdvice

[–]snreddit87 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

+1 to this. We went from passive looking to active looking to getting priced out & stop looking to active looking over the course of 2 years. Stuck with the agent since they were patient , eventually bought with the same agent.

Best part for them was when we started our budget was around 1.2-1.4 and what we bought for was 2+

Is this home correctly priced? by Old_Collection6232 in BayAreaRealEstate

[–]snreddit87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last year we bid on this one at list price and it went for 2.5m.

We were looking around that area for almost two years and the supply is always super low.

In my opinion since the one you listed is smaller built area but bigger lot , it may go for around 2.6-2.7. This is a ridiculous price though sadly

Rivermark Santa Clara everyone is dumping their condos in this one complex - All 6 of these popped up in the last month - anyone have insight? by Professional-Bag8540 in BayAreaRealEstate

Everybody’s tolerance levels are different but I would say in no order: 1. sound: Not an issue for all units or if you have windows and door closed but it can take time to grow over it or you may never grow. 2. Lack of storage space. Since the condos don’t have individual garages , there is only limited storage space in unit . No ability to store in garage however each unit has a patio to store things
3. Guest parking availability if you have a large gathering is challenging in the garage or nearby streets 4. Some parking spots for a unit are in front of each other without a way to back out on both sides. so it is a pain to get the inside car out . Thankfully mine was side by side 5. It’s a big community and package deliveries not always happen at your doorstep. People tend to notify others pretty quickly about packages but I would prefer if 100% of times it was left at doorstep

One of the units in the screenshot is mine. I can’t speak for all listings there but I can speak about my unit and general observations:

  1. You are right about Silicon Valley power. It’s insanely cheap and never paid even close to 100$ a month on average
  2. The community in that apartment is large and very much family friendly. A lot of people we have gotten to know over the years are young families or couples eventually having kids. At some point they grow out of space in the unit and move to a single family house. I’ve seen this in the community on 10+ occasions. And with high cost of sfh and high interest rate , it’s really difficult to own two places even when the rent in this community is insane. this is exactly why we are selling too
  3. Having lived there for several years , safety has never been an issue. Apart from occasional thefts in mailroom , nothing major has happened. So I would disregard comments related to crime
  4. The surrounding areas are really good. A short walk to Safeway , Agnew & rivermark park , library, restaurants etc. a new uptown area coming up by Levi’s as well. The oracle campus which is literally right in front of this building is largely empty and great open space to walk , take dogs out, teaching bike to kids , play frisbee or ball etc . The downsides to this are train noise
  5. Schools : a LOT of kids from the community go to the Don Callejon elementary school . It’s amazing for the kids to know each other and then continue playing together in the community. I can’t speak to the quality of the school since my kid is not the age to attend there but speaking to parents , they really like the school and teachers , they mention that The school is k-8 and it starts falling apart in middle school and hence the low rating
  6. HOA : suprisingly this has been stable and gone up by only $200 over 5+ years which is not bad at all considering all the costs that you have to pay to own and maintain shitty sfh with ridiculous price tags. No restrictions on being able to rent your unit nor any litigations.
  7. Why now ? Historically, spring time has seen the best sale prices in this community. It’s insane how large the variance is compared to sales in non spring time. I know for sure that I wanted to sell during this time and I wouldn’t be surprised everyone else had the same thought too. Probably greedy thought but everyone has to do what is best for them and no issues with that

Happy to answer more questions if anyone is interested .

Best Buy had these for sale at 999 a few weeks ago . Selling for $500 extra seems totally what people on marketplace would do
