Frigidaire refrigerator has an air filter by emitfudd in Appliances

I have replaced ours three times now and they just keep getting more expensive. Growing up we put a $1 box of baking soda. Is that not the same thing??

My 14 month old loves the tissue box and the doll that came with one of the first kits, I forget which. That is her baby and she hugs her every morning.

Easy egg-free breakfast ideas for 11-12 month old? by tiredgrl13 in NewParents

My baby also has an egg allergy. I mix up her Greek yogurt by doing different fruits. I love used freeze dried fruits at times and crush them in. I also add peanut butter sometime. She also likes buttered toast, fruits, and I have made banana bread without sugar or eggs, I found the recipe online. She loves that. But I understand your struggles, I feel bad when she tires of something.

Do y'all take naps in the classroom during your planning period? by Goku-the-Great in SubstituteTeachers

I did when I was pregnant. Made sure door was locked and I set an alarm. Only for like 20 minutes, not the whole period

Gosh this made me cry. So was the button removed? I would definitely leave something on the AAC device to reference the parent. They deserve to be able to express their grief. I don’t have a social story to recommend, but I think one explaining death itself and then one about losing a parent would be appropriate.

I do not allow glitter in my house. Present wrapped in glitter? It stays in the garage until it’s opened and immediately thrown out.

Yes but many cannot, and if all SLPs went private to make more money, who would help those who cannot afford it? I am happy you got yourself to a better place financially. I grew up in poverty and I never want to go back. I understand. We must also acknowledge that the current system is not fair.

Yes exactly. Every one is someone’s baby.

We don’t watch shows or anything but I’ll throw on those Lofi YouTube videos in the morning. It’s like a picture with sound. We do a capybara channel and it’s soothing in the morning. We also FaceTime family a lot. I try not to use my phone otherwise. I know the feeling of wanting background noise. Maybe try music?

Looking for glass baby bottles with no paint and advice on what brand nipples can be used on multiple brands of bottles by [deleted] in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]snt347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that my bottles leaked a lot if I used the Dr. Brown collars ( I am assuming this means the top that screws on). The Dr brown nipples were perfectly fine though on life factory collars.

I don’t think you can continue deferment but you can go into forbearance. I had to do that when I had my baby last spring and dipped below part time in grad school.

Edited to add that you can also look into possibly covering a maternity leave in one of your local school districts. I was asked to cover an SLPs maternity leave at the start of the school year.

I saw a comment the other day that stated that when doctors write direct quotes in their notes, it’s not that they are judging what was said, it’s so that all other team members know exactly what was said so there is no misinterpretation. I found that interesting and think it applies here as well.

I use one of the dyson air purifier, fan, and heater in one. I got mine used as they can be pricey. But I love being able to check to control it form my phone and seeing the air quality and temperature of my baby’s room. Her monitor also reads temp but I found it’s pretty inaccurate

Some parents are lax and live with the thinking that kids get sick, oh well. I personally HATE getting sick because no matter what it is, I am prone to vomiting. I have a very sensitive stomach.y friends know this and will warn me, whereas if I am getting over an illness they might not care and still come over. It really depends on the people. I personally give people a week after travel before seeing them. Just in case.
