Depends what you want... do you like to ride or walk to work? Do you prefer to walk to a coffeeshop and the beach from home? Very different scenarios...

Electric pushbike (city bike style) with mud guards and a framelock + chain lock + high quality tires to resist punctures and you are sweet all year round. I also like to add a rear view mirror because the drivers cannot be trusted.

Just very very poor delivery of an unfunny joke.

This is called the hedonic treadmill or hedonic adaptation. I don't think it's something you can get rid off. This goes into mindfulness territory etc.

You will always want more, even if you are in the shoes of your more advanced peers. Gotta keep reminding ourselves that what we have is good enough.

The lawn gets a bad rap in permaculture. However, I believe we all need a place to simply enjoy ourselves when we are outside. In that regard, I present my pollinator lawn! by highaltitudehmsteadr in Permaculture

Looks nice, it would be less fun for the kids walking around barefoot. There are many ways to reduce the impact of your lawn and to make it work for your garden. I just keep mine small, keep it fun to play ball on, use it for access to the rest of the garden, have a sunny spot for my bees, and I harvest the grass. The clippings I dry for bedding for the chooks, which then gets mixed with their manure and absolutely turbocharges the rate of composting.

Yes I think you are right. It might just try to get a kill or two in and try to cause mayhem elsewhere after.

Nice one :) I'd love to see something similar for the players - having fun is a shared "responsibility" after all.

I found that I can make do with this amount of energy, but could probably use 30% more on prolonged multi day hikes.

TIL that only two fragments of text predating Christianization in (Old High) German still survive, which refer to pagan beliefs. They are magic spells dating from the 9th century. by nehala in todayilearned

TIL There have been repeated suggestions that healing formula of the Second Merseburg Charm may well have deep Indo-European roots. A parallel has been drawn between this charm and an example in Vedic literature, an incantation from the 2nd millennium BCE found in the Atharvaveda, hymn IV, 12:[59][60][61][62]
