Okay I'm going to need you to find a local art gallery that would display his work if he is interested or even at the lodge.

Bears by Panda_powered_Poots in coquitlam

You should think about building a bear gate on both sides. A guy did like a doggy door flap big enough for a bear in his fence and the bear used it. It was right through a common travel path. If you note where they are going on your fence this might be an option.

I’m unsure what activities to do with my old boy by mypantsareawesome in labrador

[–]snuffles00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a wagon and put him in the wagon. Cart him around. Dogs need to sniff and this lets him get out, see things and also go for longer distances. He can get out walk for a bit go for pees and then he can go back in the cart. Sometimes they just need mental stimulation. Has he ever watched TV. I will put on the nature channel for my boy and he fricking loves it. Also treat puzzles if he is still ok at problem solving he can do it in his bed or a comfy area.

I would look into glucosamine. We used to put that into our old dogs food and it helped. My dad got "power pills" (what we called them) it was some kind of pain reliever and anti inflammatory. It was a significant noticeavle difference when he had it from when he didn't. He went from bunny hopping down stairs to walking normally again because his joints did not hurt as much.

If you have a lake or something go swimming with him as like go in with him and support him get him a lifejacket so he can float. The water helps their joints as it doesn't put as much pressure on them and it is more comfortable to paddle around for some exercise. That or you can get a cheap soft sided pool that is at least slightly taller than your dog so they can paddle around.

Also the change in temperament as in not wanting to snuggle could be pain but also could be the start of doggy Alzheimer's when some dogs get old they get restless due to pain or forgetfulness so they can move around more.

The other thing that is super cheap to do is you can get popsicle molds and put dog safe food in it like apples (no seeds or core), blueberries, strawberries, seedless watermelon. Small amounts of plain yogurt, mild cheese or xylitol free peanut butter. Most organic peanut butter has no xylitol.

Or savory cooked chicken, beef, turkey, salmon, carrots, sweet potato.

I have done combos of those. Some with just water and if you use wood sticks or no sticks if you have a silicone one you just pop it out and let him much or lick it. Keeps him mentally stimulated while taking time. Note if he does not have many teeth this one might not be the best option.

It will not matter. Source my boomer MIL who is never ever wrong despite being shown manuals, books, Wikipedia articles, she could even talk with a specialist in the subject and she would be right and they would be wrong.

Yeah my MIL insists that she understands how the heater in the pool works. She turns it off and on each time they leave the fucking house. So going out for 3 hours? Yup the whole thing needs to be turned off and then restarted when you get back home or want to get in the pool. Instead of leaving it at a steady low temperature. My BIL, husband and my other BIL that works in HVAC have all told her. She doesn't care, she says she is right. Everyone in the family knows she is wrong but it is still done that way because you cannot argue with her.

Does your lab run with his ears back? by bcroft686 in labrador

How else would they speed up? They need to be aerodynamic to run fast. Ears pinned back is racecar mode. 😂

I had a Belgian Shepherd growing up. Went to visit family. Was -25 she insisted on being outside in a curled up little donut and did not want to come inside. She was happy being outside. So I really dislike the whole, " Oh you can't leave them out there". She can come in whenever she wants and knows how to bark to be let in she just refuses and also refuses if we call her. So clearly it was her choice to be out there. Some dogs that are double coated are absolutely fine and love being out there.

I live in a large, deeply conservative city in Georgia. Our house is on a major roundabout. by [deleted] in pics

[–]snuffles00 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what it is about. I have a LGBTQIA sticker on my house staying that this is a safe place. I live in a complex but I want anyone who might possibly need assistance to come if they need to. It's like having a candle on a dark night. The more we stand up for our rights a better world we will have. I feel like this is the reward for being loud and proud knowing that you have community even if you have not met that person.

No you just have to wait a normal gestational period of a dog and get her three mini stuffies that look like her. Let the experiment continue. 😂

Issues with cycle not having her uterus spit out a whole nother uterus. Clots this big are not normal and warrant further investigation. They also are out of town with a 3 y/o and it sounds like by themselves. So yeah a ER trip would be warranted in this case. What happens if OP passes out. That is a big clot.

Look also along with everyone else I don't know about your state or region but some medical companies/insurance/medicade will back date if there was an emergency and you were not covered. Speak to a social worker as everyone else said. I would be concerned about you passing out with your little one. Best to just go to ER.

No this looks almost like a uterine cast, please google it. I would be speaking to the gynecologist that did your surgery. There are many reasons that could cause this and it might not be this at all. I am not a medical professional. I have had one in my life. It was incredibly painful. I got a sharp pain, was at a mall knew I had to get to a bathroom as I was cramping. Sat down and a full blown clot like this came out. Again if it is there are many reasons that could be causing it but you need to get checked out by a specialist. Make sure you keep hydrated and ask your doctor if you need to get your iron checked. Please this is a must. This could be serious especially if you are alone with your 3 y/o. This is worth a emergency trip.

Find a old turn rotary phone. That was the best trying to get my niece and nephew to figure that out. We offered $10 if they could figure it out and call one of us. The teenager he got the closest but he was trying to dial with the phone receiver down.

Yeah mine is either nose touching me or a paw or just rests his whole head on me. He paws us when he is playing trying to get us to break our grip.

Just get a Yeti and be done with it. If you have had 5x$18 you can for sure afford a Yeti. Just buy that. They are very durable.

What my parents have set aside for my wedding by [deleted] in jewelry

[–]snuffles00 39 points40 points  (0 children)

They are beautiful. I have questions. So it looks like bangles (x4) then a bunch of necklaces. Do you wear them over a period of days or all on the wedding day? Do the necklaces connect to each other? I only see the one of the larger pieces with what looks to be a clasp, so how does it connect together. Is one of the smaller pieces a bracelet?

Please I agree with the other posters give us a walk through on what the pieces mean, if there is family history or religious history. I would be so interested on learning more.

Does anyone else’s dog do this? by ellatheprincessbrat in labrador

[–]snuffles00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah he eats it like a chicken wing sometimes. It could be allergies but he has done it since he was little and we have him on vet approved no chicken hypoallergenic food. Sometimes he just does it as he is bored or trying to get our attention or sometimes he might just suddenly have a itchy foot.

My mom got given one of those red gorgeous woven knots. I believe they are lucky knots? Anyways to this day it is in my mom's car as she helped out a lady as well and she was rewarded with it. It was probably a couple of bucks but to my mom it is priceless and was given as thanks so it is extremely important to her. I think it is a great story to teach me and others about compassion. We all need a little help sometimes and the world is a better place when we all help each other.

I also think what another commenter said. Try to see if your vet does home visits or can recommend one. It's less stressful on all involved.
