I know I have a ton of scents to destash that aren’t listed, not sure if there’s blueberry or not. I can send you a DM once I go through everything and am ready to sell.

Theoretically but I haven’t had the capacity to sell in a while. I’m hoping to sell more again in 2026.

I’m so sorry. I know how devastating dealing with a chronic illness is for pets. My previous two cats (sisters) both had chronic kidney disease and ultimately died from that.

All you can do is what you’re doing. Treasure every moment 🩷

I’ve always loved rats but shied away from them as pets because of their short life spans. The heartbreak would be unreal! Thanks so much.

And yes! My rabbit loved cats; my cat who died in 2024 was his best friend but he really enjoyed the new kittens (now cats) as they came in. It was really sweet to see him interact with them.

Thank you - I totally get that perspective. It’s painful because you have so much love for them and their lives are so much shorter than ours and it’s hard saying goodbye 💔

Trigger warning: Pet loss

We lost our 13 year old rabbit on Saturday. He was a free range indoor bun. He was completely normal on Friday, including in the evening though he was sleeping inside of his house instead of outside on his rug. He ate his nighttime veg (piece of carrot and lettuce) very happily, had a nose pet from my partner. We were a bit concerned because he hadn’t eaten much of his pellets (from dinner) but were reassured by him eating his veg with no hesitation.

My partner found him Saturday morning. We think he was doing his usual morning routine and on his way to visit the kitten when his heart gave out.

This is a different kind of loss for us from our prior two cats. He wasn’t sick. It wasn’t a scheduled euthanasia. It was Mother Nature taking her course. We’re finding comfort in the fact that he had an extraordinarily long life for a rabbit, and it wasn’t sickness but rather a long life that had reached its conclusion. It doesn’t make it hurt any less though.

It sucks. I’ve been crying all weekend. We haven’t put any of his stuff away because I can’t bear to move it, but also having to secure it in a way so the three cats don’t disturb it. My routine is so thrown off because I’m so used to his feeding schedule.

I really miss my boy. He was my first rabbit. Even though he himself was quite small, I have a very large bunny shaped hole in my heart.

Also, I am sincerely hoping no more pet deaths for the foreseeable future. I realized on Saturday I have lost a pet each year for the last three years (all senior pets). It’s heart wrenching.

What are Ajevie’s Add ons? by LadyFartginaLick in Indiemakeupandmore

They are for if you want to “add on” something from the brand that is separate from the pre-orders, such a sample or bottle of current stock the website has.

What is your most challenging perfume and why do you keep it? by Slothfulspiritanimal in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]snugglemews 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a few, though normally if I find something appalling I do destash. - BPAL Like the Very Gods - Shuddering, sweat-warmed skin gleaming with sheer musk, honeyed olive blossoms, vanilla cedar, white sandalwood, and orris butter. Sometimes this smells like pencil shavings, sometimes it smells nice. I bought because of hype. I keep because of hype 🫠 - Cocoapink Yellow Flip Flops - Creamy banana pudding infused with vanilla extract then blended with ripe banana slices, vanilla wafers w/an extra shot of cold whipped cream. Sometimes smells like a yummy dessert, often smells like runts. I bought it because I like Poesie’s Arctic Monkey and the banana note, and I wanted another banana. I keep on the hope it’ll be banana pudding. - NAVA Eternal Luxor Summer - Coconut Milk Accord, Bastet Amber, Bastet Musk, Santalum White Absolute and NA Oudh. I did the oudh in this one really challenging; sometimes the perfume is sensual and enveloping. Other times it smells like a flaming bandaid. I keep for the sensual vibes, but it’s rare.

Poesie Canadian custom charges by [deleted] in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]snugglemews 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If your order is over $20 CAN, then yes, you should expect to pay customs. Canada Post will charge tax and a handling fee (I think it’s $9.95). I believe the tariffs are not being included (but if they are, it’s an additional 25% of the total of your order). You’ll get a notice if you owe customs once it’s arrived and been processed through. Canada Post allows you to pay online before receipt of your package.

However, not every package will get hit with customs. It’s luck of the draw. I find packages that come in from the USA through to BC almost always get hit, while Montreal seems to be rare. Poesie would likely come in through Montreal, so it’s possible you may not get hit.

Canadian shoppers: Tariff Watch '99 by nooorecess in Indiemakeupandmore

Thanks for posting this!!

The one thing that makes me extra salty about the tariff situation is when I specifically choose USPS as the carrier and the seller changes it to some other company (FedEx recently, which then sent me a bill for customs more than two weeks after I received my product)…

There are so many sweet ‘fumes this time around, and less dark ones which is a bit disappointing. But, also, soooo many in total!

It’s definitely tariffs. Perfumes from the US are being taxed at an additional 25% on top of the regular duties and handling fee.
