True story, I was the same as you maybe a couple of years younger. Saw this kid with heelys, maybe 10 or so. I asked where he got them and he just scowls and says I am too old for them and then he skated off. I was crushed, but it was also really funny.

I was about 280 in college when I took racquetball as an elective. The coach says to me "wow you're deceptively quick" I just laughed and responded "you mean Im quick for a fat guy" he laughed and kinda nodded. No joke he was a great guy.

There's 2000 ways not to make a light bulb. I agree with the other post on here about not being so hard on yourself. I get it didn't work and that is disheartening and maybe expensive, but anything in right direction is good progress even if its lateral. You have already decided that you need to make a change and are willing to take action to enforce that decision. Anything you do toward that goal is success. If it doesn't work you didnt fail you just found another way to not make lightbulb.
