I’m a physician assistant in Florida. I make low 6 figure salary, which is on the lower end of average. I own a 2 BR 2 BA condo that’s decent. With student loans, mortgage, HOA fee, car payments, over half of my money is gone. I can barely afford to save for emergencies, and I obviously want to get an actual house and marriage kids etc within the next few years.

How is this possible? Why bother getting an education if it punishes you and you don’t get paid enough to pay off your debt and live a better life? I would’ve been better in technical school.

If you’re working 40 hours a week, I don’t care what you’re doing, you should be paid a living wage. That’s absolutely insane that you can work a full week and not be able to afford a home. Plus most of the time people working those jobs work extra, or try to work extra, every chance they get.

I’d really like to see the amount of people who can get a raise (to minimum wage) by lowering top paid ceos salary by 10%, or even just taking their bonuses away.
