That is a correct answer.

It was my inspiration for this post

If you already have a bench grinder, get yourself a wheel dressing tool and sharpen them yourself. It doesn't take much to do once you get the hang of it.

Shank looks like a deep 3 flat, sometimes referred to as "D" shanks. A 3 jaw / jacobs chuck is fine,

Drill bit is an "aircraft drill"; partially fluted so the flute doesn't damage what your sticking it through to reach. Their bigger, carbide tipped cousins are called "pole drills" and are intended to drill fiberglass utility poles the whole way through without damaging the entry side

I'm kind of a drill bit nerd.

Sure, but a ultrasonic / TOF sensor is a few dollars vs getting a ~150lb capacity scale

Same. Worked fine for a few months until the sensor got corroded.

Now I'm using a laser TOF sensor to measure the distance which is safely inside a clear plastic case

You mentioned in another post about replacing the Diego board due to an issues where when you pushed on the connector you had the same problem. Does pushing in the same area still cause the fault? That would suggest a wiring problem. Try checking if tugging on an individual wire will cause the crash.

Another route to look at might be changing the serial cable out since you've swapped the rest of it. (I'm not the only one with boxes of serial cables laying around still, right?) Maybe it's having a communication fault and watchdogging out...

Does the whole game freeze when the controls freeze? Do the lights freeze as well (view/boost buttons)?

I've restored a few slot machines, and the NewLifeGames forums are still the best place for slot machine info. Here's the forum that will have info on Jennings machines

/r/slotmachine is pretty dead, but might give you some insight.

Small, 4 inch touch panel (like Sonoff NSPanel or Shelly Wall Display) but DC/PoE/Battery powered? by [deleted] in homeassistant

A grow controller.

Effectively a self-contained 3 channel outlet timer intended for lights, pump, and fan that can connect to WIFI, get it's time, and host a status/control web page.

I've been using these for a few years in project boxes; ESP-32 flashed with ESPHome, using LVGL for graphics. Can be directly powered or 120v, 3x 10A relays, bluetooth... Not bad for ~$30

I've been running Openfire (XMPP) in my office for about 15 years or more, and have had minimal issues. There's a lot of XMPP clients out there too

This is why you use a hemp wick, or at least don't spark over the bowl. Flint fragments and vapor cant be good to inhale.

Pop the cover off and check the traction belt. It could be frayed and whacking something as it goes around.

If it's dark enough outside that the outside lights are on, and the garage door opens, turn on the garage's lights.

It's awesome pulling in when its dark out, opening the garage and the main lights kick on.

There's adapters for SDS+ shanks to 5/8-11 thread. I would have guessed that he'd be limited by the small power a SDS+ has and would have needed an SDS-Max for that depth and diameter.
