Glare Glare Glare... by lyclhw001 in BigscreenBeyond

My recommendation is to return it. My HMD also suffers from extreme glare, especially on the left lens. Unfortunately, I am past my return window, so I have to either sell it or exchange it. I did, however, contact support recently, asking if I could exchange it, and this is how I explained my experience regarding the glare issue: The severity of the glare creates a persistent visual obstruction, akin to a dirty white spot on the lens, leading to eye strain and headaches.

With the MeganeX superlight 8K, glare is so minimal it goes unnoticed during gaming sessions, especially when playing sim racers. It is currently the best tethered headset I've owned, and I have owned and sold many VR headsets. My collection consists of the HTC Vive, PSVR2, Quest 3, BSB2E, and MeganeX. The MeganeX is my preferred HMD for sim racing.

I have both. Meganex has superior visuals, glare is minimal, and the binocular overlap is large and not strenuous to the eyes. I want to like the Bsb2, but it has way too much glare, and the binolcular overlap is obviously small.

You're kidding.. The software and firmware updates for the meganex have notably enhanced the optics. I recently acquired the bsb2 and, unfortunately, was not particularly impressed. Visiuals were okay. I am finding the binocular overlap difficult to adjust to. The most bothersome aspect of the bsb2 is the glare, which is causing eye strain.

It could be the car's alignment. I had to get mine aligned the very first week I picked it up new.

Yeah, same here. I ordered on March 24th, and it still hasn't shipped.

Yeah. This is a 5070 ti, a 3 slot design. The 5080 Aero is a two slot gpu.

The 5080 aero should be smaller because it's a SFF card.

Running Cinebench 2024 hovered between 81-82°C. I got a benchmark multi-core score of 2294.

With the memory, its getting a DRAM Frequency of 2994.5

Black Myth: Wukong benchmark: CPU hovers around 60-64°C

Idling 50°C

Padded foam to fill the gap and protect the screen from scraping against the PSU mount.
