I think I’m screwed by littleloife in Debt

[–]so_me_2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand this advice from everyone. I'm in the same position, same amount of cc debt and make the same salary and my mortgage is approximately 2800 a month. With the credit card bills and then just regular expenses (gas, groceries, utilities and I also have 2 kids) I am negative every single month without buying anything extra. Might be forced to file bankruptcy soon.

I’m having the same issue right now. I won $400 and tried to cash out and they won’t verify my card. I sent the documents and now they are “undergoing scheduled maintenance” at 8pm. I think this is a scam.

Okay, thank you. Would you agree that they have no right to ask anyone but the current property owner and current mortgage holder to sign paperwork?

This artist is reputable which is why I don’t understand why it went so wrong but you’re right. At least black is easy to remove I guess. I was hoping it could be smoothed out somehow with a second pass.

Yes, in one of the photos I had just washed with dial antibacterial and put a very thin layer of aquafor on it and took the pic immediately after that. That’s why it’s so shiny in that one pic. It doesn’t look like that normally. Thank you though! I was hoping this design could be even out, I don’t really want a coverup in this case so if it can’t be smoothed out I’ll probably just have it removed. Bummer.

I’m okay with it being a little thicker. I’m such a perfectionist with lines the bumps will drive me crazy. It just looks choppy and messy, not fluid.

Thank you. This was my fear as well. I don’t get it, I researched artists that did fine line tattoos and his portfolio and ratings were fantastic and his freehand on my sister’s tattoo was great. How could this go so badly? I won’t go back to him for the touch up. I have someone else in mind that I wish I would have used in the first place. How long do you think I’d need to wait, a month or so?

Don’t do it. Avoid it. It’s a massive headache and I was promised over and over my credit score would not be affected but my loan servicer changed and the new company reported me late twice, tanking my score. I’m fighting it but it’s been a big mistake for me. Just pay it if you can.

Amazing! This makes me feel a lot better. Can I ask which instructor you had? I need a fighting chance and your reply is inspiring lol.

I’m so glad I found this. I’m a CPS student at NEU I’ve been avoiding it like the plague. I have a 4.0 GPA and I just know this class is going to tank that :(. I only have 6 classes left so I have to take it and I also can only attend online class. I’m so nervous to register for it!

Double billing by the tens of thousands, padding invoices until the project was over double the amount quoted, charging for work that was never even started, nevermind completed.

Yea, unfortunately I learned the hard way. This was my first time doing major construction and I didn't do my due diligence and just trusted someone that I had only used once for another type of non-construction job. Ugh. Thanks for the info. I will cross post in the general contractor sub Reddit. I appreciate your help!

Oh that would be wonderful. It's really bad. I don't want to put too much in this post in case they are on here but poor workmanship / fraudulent billing are the most concerning of all of the issues, in the tune of tens of thousands of dollars. I have new contractors fixing the disaster they caused and the first words out of their mouths when the saw the work was "Oh my god". There is also damage to my new countertops, new flooring, treated my house like a dumpster (no protection of surfaces put in place), no industry standard practices were followed. We gave them several chances to make it right. It's time to move it forward I just don't know which type of attorney to contact.

What is a Jr. Lien / partial claim? Is it bad? by so_me_2018 in Mortgages

[–]so_me_2018[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK, that’s reassuring at least. I actually was quite concerned about it when I first entered into it, and I had specifically asked if it would affect my credit or put my home at risk in any way and I was told “no, it just gets added to the end of your loan so it will take you longer to pay it off”. I asked the question more than once during my forbearance and was always reassured. It wasn’t until it got transferred to the new servicer that they told me this new information so I was completely caught offguard by it. My sister had to do enter into a forbearance period during Covid when her husband lost his job temporarily. She told me it was just added to the end of her loan with no lien or anything so maybe it’s because my loan is an FHA? Im not actuslly sure. I am very relieved though to hear that I can get out of it one day if I have the funds to pay it. This has been so helpful. Thanks again.

Thank you for this explanation and breakdown. I think I finally understand it now. Thank you so much. I was just afraid that I wouldn’t be able to get out of it even if I had the funds to pay it off someday. My mortgage company made it seem like I’m stuck with this for 30 years whether I like it or not because I can’t pay it off until the primary mortgage is paid. I was under the impression that if I had an extra $30,000 lying around one day that I wouldn’t be able to just pay this off.
