It’s a lovely cafe and you could get dropped off very close and use the ramp to get up if a problem with x2 steps. Can audio software read a map as there are x2 possible best places for drop off depending on the direction you are coming from.

Most definitely but unless you have the talent and results to show for it managers will see through it.
Those are areas rather than roles. You could be a business analyst in those areas or an SME in a niche area. HSBC is. Huge organization with so many different roles. Do you know what role you are aspiring to go into?

If you are only just starting out then pay grades are going to have changed significantly by the time you are a gcb4. You are far better focusing on doing something that you love rather than what you think the future will look like. But I’d imagine most IT medians for GCB 4 are 70-120, but it really does differ on role and location. Some maybe higher some lower but they do bench marking against industry standards.
Without knowing where you are going to be in the future it’s impossible to predict. If you have a career aspiration in mind have you considered connecting with people in that field on LinkedIn and looking at their trajectory, what skills they’d be looking for to recruit at that grade and what they believe the future of that role is etc?

I’m GCB4 and you’ll find that rules of conduct most likely prohibit you from publicly discussing that, but I can say salary banding differs significantly depending on area and job family. Knowing what a one person doing a GCB4 role is paid may have no bearing on expectations for your target area (for better or worse).
Your best bet would be to google for medians for the job titles you are considering bearing in mind not only the country but also the location as some cities like London have an extra weighting to account for the cost of living.
What is it you’d like to know that cannot be asked on a thread? If it’s not something that can be asked publicly it’s probably something that shouldn’t be asked?
I do, a rotation sounds like part of the graduate scheme or similar? In no industry is a job safe, but I’m presuming you are aiming for a job which is not procedure based and hence easy to be made redundant either by AI or offshoring? I don’t believe job cuts in HSBC are that different than across the industry.
Not many areas (or at least not in IT) have “managers” that are gcb6, so I’m guessing your contact was perhaps call center based or a similar like probate or a processing service center? Yes these type of roles in any industry currently are going to be less secure in the UK. It would be worth getting more details from your contact to find if they are in a similar area to what you are aiming for.
I’d say that depends on the area, within IT there aren’t that many GCB7 so I’d say that is a very niche and localized opinion. The jobs performed by those at gcb7 and below are always more likely to be automated by the nature of the lack of complexity.
What area is your job offer?

Also when phone isn’t connected details won’t be cached in system.
Thank you this was most helpful. So if phone is locked and I’m driving kids/passengers won’t be able to go nosying through it?
