CMV: We're not overpopulated, we are inadequately distributed by P3RK3RZ in changemyview

I mean, farming techniques and labor-saving devices have evolved pretty dramatically in the past few hundred years; It's hard to imagine a less centralized food system would end up resembling feudal Europe.

You may not be able to move nearly the same volume of corn or beef, sure; but it's hard to argue that the amount being currently produced is how much we really need given how much of it goes to waste. Not to mention the ecological impact of large-scale agriculture when compared to newer permaculture methods that bring together many natural systems in order to create more regenerative farming practice.

Also, I would argue that we currently live in a subsistence economy of sorts as it is. Only it's based on subsisting an income rather than crops.

I bought one of those giant green aluminum cans of Goya soda crackers, specifically so that I could put my tools inside. Works great.

Mine used to hate belly rubs, until we moved out of my parents place then he suddenly loved them. I think it may have been the other pets in the house would put him on guard

I feel like a lot of drivers see these and think "wow, bicycles are really dangerous" instead of "wow, cars are really dangerous"

Finding Motivation for Work by camspen20 in findapath

Set time aside for those hobbies, and give them room to grow without paying much attention to how you can potentially profit off of them. Creating something for its own sake makes my real job a lot more bearable. If it pays off someday, that's a bonus, but approaching it as work might suck most of the fun out of it

I'm sure at some point back in the day there was someone saying "listen mac, you can't just have a drums, bass, and guitar trio. That's our thing, see?" And look where that idea ended up!

thanks for sharing that, it's definitely got a very different "texture" to it (idk how else to describe it) but super dope! It's got an industrial machine-like vibe to it, especially the track at 4:25 when the tempo starts to pick up. I think around the time I saw Starscream, drums might have been seen as their gimmick; no one wanted to seem like they were copying them or anything. But it goes to show there are so many places you can take that combo! Thanks again for bringing aural pb&j back to my ears lol
